Has anyone ever come across an OST of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME with all the missing cues, such as the scenes where Bond examines the microfilm on the boat, pulls the detonator out of the Polaris warhead, and when they message the subs to target each other with a minute to spare?

Unfortunately no, the best ones I know available contain sfx and probably some voices. The soundtrack never got an expansion with some of the others in 2003 I believe for the same reason Octopussy, Moonraker, an A View to a Kill did not get one. The original masters had been lost.

I think Lukas Kendall (from FSM and producer of the expanded Bond albums), once said that the only lost tapes is from Moonraker, and the purpose of releasing the Bond abums was to remaster and expand all the scores, but due to financial reasons and other legal issues, they only work with the classic scores mostly from Connery era.

Really? But some of the best work was from the Roger Moore Bond movies.

Whether something is best or worst is entirely subjective into personal music preference.
I guess the Bond scores from Connery/Barry era, were the most demanded by fans than any other, but that's me speculate a bit on the matter.

Nah, plus The Spy Who Loved Me stuff I wouldn't call rare, I just used DVD Iscolating to get those tracks and recorded those 2 songs from the DVDs. Rafael could have easily done it. Probably could have done a much better job than I did.

i disagree about die another day, his scores all lack one thing and thats bond im old bond style and i miss the old bond theme in the action moments of the movies, the likes the remote controll car chase music from tnd and come in 007 your time is up are his best 2 pieces of score i have heard of his for bond scores, but john barry was the man for bond the likes of his 007 theme (music cue from gypse camp fight in from russia with love and moonrakers boat chase) then theres the songs, (OMG!!!!) what a load of crap the producers are picking

Because it wasn't. It is a fan made thing and the person is trying to say that it was an "unused demo" to garner free publicity and attention. And thanks to people being too naive to realize this, they have succeeded.

The song isn't actually bad, but was likely made only a few months ago. Notice how it sinks up pefectly with the QoS title sequence? If it was a real demo, I find it hard to believe that it would fit the title sequence so perfectly.

Does anyone know what song it is in Never Say Never Again when bond, in his horse, saves domino from being bought by the arab people? That wasn't in the soundtrack right?

Yes, that is definitely the Quantum theme. Considering that Arnold worked on this album, I assume that this is what Arnold wanted the main theme to be. And what a shock, only 30 seconds and its already miles better than AWTD.

However, as I experienced on this thread, lots of the so-called "Expanded Editions" were nothing more than the music cues arranged in order they appear in the film, with some fan-art cover. Nothing new or different of the official releases.

The only other track for the Living Daylights missing from the score is the sax track when the two (unknown to JB) CIA agents offer to take him to a party. I tried to rip this and clean it up without much success, but I'm no expert. Have you had a go?

I did a 'complete' version of FYEO (it's on the forums somewhere, but I can't seem to work the search at the mo). I had a go at Octopussy, but didn't come out with any real results. Pity. It's a bit of a naff entry, but the score is pretty good IMHO. Moonraker was more successful, but I'm still having trouble with 'rocket escape'. This is the best I got out of it:

I'm a big fan of the "traditional" James Bond sound, so I like the "From Russia With Love" game soundtrack the best - the fact that it's played by a real orchestra is even better. After that, "Everything Or Nothing" is next. In all honesty, the game composers tend to use the Bond theme as their main motif, so any of the game soundtracks is bound to have a few pretty good versions. The "Streets of Budapest" chase music from "Agent Under Fire" is good.

Wow! That Living Daylights track is great. Can't wait to hear what you have for A View To A Kill, one of my favourite soundtracks.

Does anyone have a copy of the song played at Greene's party in Quantum of Solace?

If nobody gives u those tracks i can at least give u the names, one is called Regresa (which means "Return" in Spanish), and the other is Cholo Soy. Both are by Jaime Cuadra.

I'm a big fan of the "traditional" James Bond sound, so I like the "From Russia With Love" game soundtrack the best - the fact that it's played by a real orchestra is even better. After that, "Everything Or Nothing" is next. In all honesty, the game composers tend to use the Bond theme as their main motif, so any of the game soundtracks is bound to have a few pretty good versions. The "Streets of Budapest" chase music from "Agent Under Fire" is good.

Big thanks from me - I'll check all this stuff out in due course.

Thanks bro. Do A View to a Kill next. One of my favs. I have tried DVD iscolation to get the full score. Not possible with the DVDs I have. They have the sfx mixed in with the music in the left rear and right rear channels.

Thanks taking a listen. If you have any other unreleased cues from AVTAK do not hesitate to upload my friend. Like said before I tried dvd isolation for this movie. Did not work lol...yes we are all desperate! lol.

I was able to get 46 seconds of Zorin's Blimp (track used as Bond is dangling from the blimp using DVD isolation on A View to a Kill. Enjoy folks!

Oh, I don't think this is an official CD either; the "Expanded Bond Records" label says it all. Unfortunately for Octopussy a lot of the unreleased stuff is music played during action sequences so a lot of the music is sfx ridden. Sorry dude. I want the complete score too.

Why would you wnat TMWTGG? Rafael has a perfectly well 30 plus expanded score of it posted with no sfx on the main page dude and I did do The Spy Who Loved Me. I was only able to get a few tracks. Here is what they were

So that was from you? I believe in my post I credited you then for the separation of the tracks from the CD and put in order of the movie. You did a wonderful job with that. Made it so much easier for me when I mixed in the unreleased tracks I got from the DVD

and yea I wish I could get The James Bond Theme from Moonraker because it's freaking awesome, but no way without sfx and the only one I have is crappy quality. You should post your attempt at Moonraker recon.

Edit to Post: btw the track I have marked as Disguised as Monks is the same as St. Cyrils. I didnt realize it till after I posted the link and everything. So disregard Disguised as Monks.

Call Me James - (this is the track played while Bond is in the iceberg ship with the hot chick. Its an AVTAK melody. It plays just after Snow Job in the movie. Oh I know about Moonraker dude. One of my fav scores too. Also The Living Daylights expanded is not a bootleg. EMI released a whole bunch of remastered re-issues for most of the Bond albums and some albums got expansions of unreleased music. TLD was one of the ones who got most of the music released.

Just one thing: the pitch of the Horse Chase track is 4% too high; it should be 96,2% of what it is.

The film version of the Golden Gate Fight is slightly shorter before the string vibrato (is that what it's called?) at 1:31.

About a million years ago I said I was working on an expanded TSWLM score; I still plan to finish that. It's gonna be really good; it'll easily have an extra 30 minutes of music.

Also what tracks are missing from Live and Let Die? I know a majority of that score was released on the 2003 expanded CD. It's 22 tracks long. Tell me which ones an I'll see if they are obtainable.

There is no missing score from Live and Let Die that I am aware of. However, the release could be expanded with some of the cover versions out there and possibly a film version of "Oh When the Saints" which quite clearly was re-recorded for the album.

I have some text detailing missing cues from all the films from an old website somewhere. I'll try to dig it out...

Here we go. Apologies for anything out of date, especially considering the excellent work done here on this thread.

Some films are not represented (e.g. Live and Let Die) as their CDs contain the complete score.

I note that there are references to missing music on Licence To Kill. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that all of the music is actually on the album, and the cues for other sequences were edited from these. Can anyone verify/disprove this? I am in the throws of moving home and all my Bond films are packed away elsewhere.

In addition to what's been written below, there is a cue misssing from the Diamonds Are Forever CD (more of a sting), although it is extremely short. I have that somewhere if anyone wants it.

I'm not convinced of the missing cue from Pushkin's Hotel sequence in The Living Daylights - again, can anyone verify/disprove? If anyone can offer a reasonably effects-free version of the sax cue, I'd be happy :-)

* A short cue in Istanbul.

Looks like we still have a fair way to go to get a complete score of every bond film.

1shi it doesnt matter. I was playing. I did combine them, but Mad did the best out of all by getting that leaked score

and to recon. I ripped 90 percent of the missing tracks from For Your Eyes Only and posted it. It's a page or two back. I will upload an expanded GoldenEye soundtrack I worked on. A page or 2 ago some one posted a complete Living Daylights score I thought.

I have tried doing Octopussy along with others and nothing good is obtainable.

Rafael Agent has a complete Tomorrow Never Dies score posted along with Die Another Day

I got two versions of this complete score.

One includes the bad Madonna title track along with the United Artists Logfo music and the Gunbarrel/Surf music as two seperate tracks.

The other dosen't include Madonna or the logo music but has the gunbarrel/surf music as one complete track.

I do need to delete one, by combining the two, but which one should i be actually be keeping.

Just to clarify:

The missing music text is not my work. It's from a long since deleted website - "Bond Smells A Rat", named after the most common Bond score track name - credits to the original author.

It is out of date (not least because I have contributed my own complete scores for Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, and expanded for The World Is Not Enough, and others have posted their excellent efforts here!), but I've posted it for reference.

I can't vouch for its accuracy, but glancing through, it seems to be mostly on the button to me.

I am not insulting Skrenty's work as I appreciate the uploads, but unless i missed it. You should indicate which expanded scores contain sfx. Do not have to name which track just put on the side (This expansion contains some sfx)

Just incase we have users here who have a slower internet they know exactly what it is they are downloading.

Does anyone know if there's a guide online somewhere that tells you how to sequence/edit tracks on Bond albums so they're in film order? I was listening to "Thunderball the other night and decided that if it was possible I would re-sequence the tracks. I've also noticed a lot of people are after a "complete" Licence to Kill OST, and I'm guessing that a list as I've just described would mention LTK as well. If it were so, I'd be happy to do that one as well and upload both LTK and Thunderball.

So, in short, is there a list of properly-sequenced track lists for 007 albums?

Thanks for the quick reply - it's funny, I'd looked at the johnbarry.org.uk one just the other day and had completely forgotten about it. As for LTK, that's pretty good, but it only lists the ideal track order, not edits. However, this, I guess, could be easily worked out from the film, as most of the music not on the album (as I recall) seems to be either bits of/complete facsimiles of parts of "Licence Revoked". I'll see how I go. Thanks again!
