Hello everyone. I have a problem downloading mp3s from this site (mainly the forums).

If someone sends a link with a single mp3 on it, I download it but it doesn't go all the way and it says download complete.

I get the file and open it, but there's only 10/11 seconds into the song before it cuts off when the music is supposed to be longer.

Why?

There seems to be a missing album on the GH site. In an update posted quite a while ago (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showpost.php?p=533864&postcount=170), there was the soundtrack for "Space Channel 5 Part 2 Moji Moji - Can't Stop Remix". However, I searched for this album on GH but could not find the link for it anywhere. I also tried to search the forums here but could not find any further information on this. I would really like to find out whatever became of this soundtrack.

Any help would be appreciated. ^^

Hey, I've gotta thank you Sarah for all the hard work you've done for us music fans, but I'm gonna get straight to the point.

Just a few minutes ago, I tried to download something from Sonic CD. I got a weird non-complete file saying 1 kb and an unknown download time (I'm on firefox). So, I tried another Sonic CD album. Same thing. So, I tried to download songs I know for a fact worked before, and I'm still getting the problem. It's almost as if the entire song archive went down.

This could be a serious problem, so I'm a little worried about the future of the site if it's something major. I just figured you should know, seeing as all the songs are pretty much dead right now. Thanks for the time and trouble to fix the problem.

Browsing through the sheet music for FFVII OST (not piano collection), I notice there are some pages missing from Cinco de Chocobo (it's only 3 pages long, and it cuts out suddenly. At a guess, I'd say there are 2 missing pages). I assume that this is an oversight on the part of the original contributor and thus should be very easily fixable. Could someone please reupload that with the missing pages included? Thanks.

Judging by the lack of replies, I doubt it will get fixed anytime soon, but in the "Star Ocean Perfect" soundtrack, the track "Kingdom ~Castle Themes~" is a faulty track that plays for a good while then suddenly cuts, restarts then continues to the end and then cuts out again. The time of the track is 6 28, close to the real track's time (Judging by the actual album), so somethings messed up with it.

Every time I log into GH and I get the "logged in successfully" message, the text on the right(?) where it should show my username and such shows that I am not logged in, even though I should.

Edit: Upon trying to "Open" one of the "bad" tracks instead of downloading, it seems to play normally, indicating to me that it was just a bad download... This might be what I get for trying to open download windows for each part of the soundtrack... Heh. My bad.
Edit2: Okay, I've re-downloaded the "bad" tracks, and the majority of them are fixed now, but there are two tracks that I've re-downloaded at least 5 times a piece, and those still aren't working. They're minor tracks, but it couldn't hurt to double-check them. They are:

42 - Opening Theme

But on another note.
The ID3 tags for Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War's soundtrack are incorrect. You list the "Artist" category in the "Album" category.

For people having trouble with Pokemon Snap, this site (http://downloads.*********.com/game-soundtracks/album/pokemon-snap) seems to mirror ffshrine and has working links.

In the alblum labled "Zelda - Ocarina of Time ReArrange," track 10 seems to be incomplete. The last 12 seconds are missing it sounds like.

No matter which file I download, all the Rurouni Kenshin manga files end up to be only 433 bytes. Sometimes, I can't download them at all. :(

I cannot even get to GH, at all the last few days, try to fix this as soon as possible, not even through my campus computer, it said it was malware, but fix it please.

At both "GetBackers" soundtracks (1), the two tracks 19 ("Gib mir deinen Giftstop Zahn" ?) are not working because of the additional character. Also, you have the GetBackers OST (both albums) twice!

I found some bugs in the function that actually puts the link on the page.

If there is a jpg/zip/png.... the function tries to change the ending to .mp3
So if u wanna download text.jpg then the link gives u back text.mp3. This happens allot when I tried it.

Then u cant Download files that have a "?" in the name. Guess thats a problem with the Apache Server. Maybe u can switch this char with something else?

The Ultimate Body Blows soundtrack on GH is actually mislabeled Body Blows Galactic soundtrack. Jurasso.mp3 is kind of ok, but technically it should be titled "Gellorn 5". Gellorn 5 was renamed Jurasso in Ultimate BB iirc...
But Asia.mp3, for example, is totally wrong; it should be Titanica.mp3 or something like that.

Guys, I just saw that parasite eve 1+2 and the remix soundtracks have gone missing. Man, and I was just feeling the music from the video game series. But my question is, what happened? I use to see them in GH, but it just disappeared. Maybe other VG soundtracks have suddenly vanished also. What I wouldn't give to hear them again.

Is it possible that this site has gone through the same situation a certain other site recently did?

No, it is not the same problem as this one. Even if the MP3 links are complete and without apostroph, it doesn't works and gives a page of error.

this is only for the following types of problems. other problems should be reported in questions & feedback (ie, user account problems, etc).

1) duplicate soundtrack listings. please link to each alternate version of a duplicate listing. it'll be removed eventually. this is greatly appreciated as it gives us more space on our servers.

2) skipping, corrupted songs. report EXACTLY what the problem is; ie, "this file becomes static at 3:12. it can be found on this page."

3) missing songs from a soundtrack. songs are only considered missing if it's got track numbers and there are gaps (ie, 1, 2, 5, 6 or something). if songs are missing after a full sequence (say there are 5 songs, but there should be 8) you MUST link to either a full tracklist for an official soundtrack.

any help's appreciated. it may take a while to get to these problems, but I will get to them eventually. right now priority is given to dupe listings. anyone willing to go through and find as many dupe listings as possible would be doing a huge, huge favor for me <3

New here. Just wanted to say that as soon as I noticed that GH needed help (ie, when I saw the big, white "GIVE US DONATIONS OR WE WON'T EXIST" page) I chipped in $30. I figure that they have saved me well over $30 in soundtracks and such, and I'm not even all that regular of a user. If everyone pitched in $20, it would only take 125 people's donations to get the site back up and running. I know that there are WAY more than 125 people using GH, so where are the donations? If this is something we love, we should be willing to support it. We've been getting free stuff at their expense for too long, and now that they need our help, it would be wrong for us to just leave them in the cold.

i donated and im also a casual user - whenever i need some speicifc sheet music or sound track i know GH will have it.

To a user who donates fall 100 user who don't. The ratio is very uneven.

Not to mention that a lot of personal problems and technical difficulties (the GH server hoster going bankrupt) has interrupted the usual flow of GH's maintenance.

Eventually, we'll get GH back.

If you need to get rid of one can you get rid of "Megami Ibunroku Persona" one and not "Pesona ~be your true mind~" because that one is grouped with the other pesona albums. I know that getting rid of repeat albums helps cut costs so i wantd to help.

It's gotten to the point that with every song I try to download, I ed up getting a "file not found" message, most recently when I tried downloading the Banjo-Kazooie and Sonic Adventure 2 soundtracks...

I can access to the emulated music's page by renaming the link http://gh.ffshrine.org/egm/ to http://gh.ffshrine.org/egm.php/, but that's all... How can I access to the emulated music for pc engine?

ive tried those steps but still no go. gh seems to be down at the moment because any music i try to access on the main page brings me to a white screen and a error :(

Hey, the websites and all links still work but when it goes to downloading any .mp3 it does not start. I JUST heard about Metropolis Street Racer for Sega DreamCast, and to my surprise it was hosted here for some time..;[

I have not been able to download anything for 2 weeks now? the page just sits there loading forever. And after about 3-4 mins of it doing that it just says the Server Timed out?

I cannot download anything. I've tried on two separate computers to download the files I want, and neither of the computers could download them. I only get the "Invalid! Getting 404 errors with practically everything when trying to listen to a soundtrack. Basically what the people above me are saying.
