My goodness... I was in the best of Clark University (its library) writing about Mikl�s R�zsa's deeper scores for films, orchestras and string quartets. And behind me was my truly more than favorite Alain Resnais. He was going to the site where he sadly could not film much of the very good script. This was his first English language movie... and with David Mercer (his first English language writer)... and like the two of them we weren't speaking each other's language quite well. But we were in convesation and in a week I had a copy of Mercer's great screenplay to read. (As the film wasn't even filming, I sent it back protectively to the producer Klaus Hellwig.) So what did we talk about? It was a "who" more than a what - Mikl�s R�zsa. Of course, that wasn't why R�zsa became his other partner: he had been more thinking about him as the script and its characters emerged and emerged and emerged with him and his team. I'm so grateful you are sharing this! May I have the link as well?
