Was about time that this score was re-released, in 1994 I was too young to know that it existed and too stupid to order it. I�m glad that I�m finally able to own it.

I keep saying this on various threads: I have a cd of this soundtrack already, the first version, and I didn't think much of it, despite being a huge Goldsmith fan and despite virtually everyone saying this was one of his best soundtracks. Like the early cd of The Blue Max and Inchon, among many, I thought it was just okay. Maybe even a little blah. Down to my basement also-ran shelves. But THIS version is a beautiful soundtrack. I don't know if it's the re-mastering or having it complete or what, but this really is a stunning Goldsmith.
It's so annoying to have to go through two or three or four versions (I've actually done that - STTMP) of the same soundtrack before you find one that finally does justice to the music.
It is so great to have a place like this to be able to try the music to see if it's finally worth it.
And in this case, it so is.
And while I appreciate very much the time and trouble you took to scan and post the liner notes, are those the worst liner notes of all time? Okay, top 10 worst anyway. I know this person may have a family, or at least a cat, to feed, but please someone give his job to someone who cares. But as they say on the website, they ARE in color! (Will get a copy off EBay so I'm not paying someone for those words of filler.)
Thank you, Kevin! Absolutely great, even essential Goldsmith! Especially if you have a previous version. 10/10!
