If that were the case, then it wouldn't be necessarily called a "promo". A bootleg, yes, but promo has a more specific connotation. The term "bootleg" covers almost everything that isn't officially released, while promos are a form of bootlegging and suggest that the composer and/or someone closely associated with his industry compiled the CD for promotional purposes.

Is this the real deal?

I've had a CD of this for years, back on the old Concorde label, is this the same? I'll download and see, the old boot had some probs with the first second or so clipped from a few tracks. Thanks !!!

I used to have that score promo as a CD-R. Recorded it to MD and got rid of the CD-R before it could dissolve. That was years ago.

I was curious about this post so I ripped the MD and made a spectral comparison - this is the result ....

above is my MD version (CD-R audio (source quality unknown) encoded in ATRAC 292 kbps)
below is the FLAC version posted here.

I'd interpret that comparison in the following way: It seems this FLAC version is a re-encode from a lossy source. What do you guys say? I think we have to look further for a real lossless version.

on the other hand: look at that tinkling sound from Wallpaper in the first third of this screenshot. I really don't know what to make of it.

seems the promo version is a 20 minutes longer than official cd

How does it seem that way?
The official release is complete.
It uses fades to facilitate well-made suites but both the bootleg and the official complete release are around an hour long.
