Right now I've been a heavy downloader and haven't uploaded, either. I used to have a pretty extensive of Disney Park audio, but sadly on Christmas Eve my house was broken into and computers and hard drives were stolen, and I lost most of what I had. The things I had left on CDs were the usual fare, which has been posted on here before. I'm hoping when I get most of my old collection back, I can upload it so it can be available.

Too Old To Grow Up!

There have been several contributors on this thread that have come and gone and many sharing some great stuff. To all that have contributed I would like to say THANK YOU! I think the point that was trying to be made if you want or are looking something be courteous and gracious in the request being made. Don't be demanding and start barking orders as that never sits well. If it's not in a particular format or bit rate that may be all the contributor has to offer. Be polite and offer a Thank You for their efforts, a better version may come along and if it's not exactly what you want don't bitch about it in a public forum just be gracious. If you don't want it don't download it or delete it. Also don't be greedy, I want, I want, I want.That never sits well with those who who share. If you want to re-post something I may have shared, be my guest and re-post it for people. It's all good takes pressure off the regular contributors and all benefit. If you have something to share with the group even if it's just one file, please post it! Someone reading the thread may benefit from it and it just makes the whole group better for all. Everyone one is here because we all love what has been offered so please respect one another!

I'll add my 2 cents about the other issue floating around. Being appreciative of others' work is simple common decency. There is a great deal of time and effort that goes into sharing, even simply uploading files for others to enjoy. If someone asks for something, the people who share need to comb through their extensive collection to see if they have it, upload it and then come back here to share. It's no small feat, especially if there are repeated and repeated PMs and requests, without so much as a thank you. Or worse, a derogatory comment. So please be courteous of others.

But it goes deeper than that. We are all lucky to be receiving the unique gems that many people are providing here, from their own ultra hard and time consuming work. People like WilliamTaylor, Jmoss, Hatbox, Kirk, Soundguy28, and DisneyChris (and sorry if I've missed anyone) have spent their own time to create wonderful works that can't be found elsewhere. Take for example the Trader Sam's albums I believe Jmoss created and Hatbox shared. Identifying and locating those songs I'm sure took a very long time. And he did the artwork. It's a polished album that totally captures the essence of Trader Sams. It's incredible that he not only made it, but shared it! Same goes for stuff made by the others!

To get a flavor of what these people are doing, go to disneychris' site and go read his Audio Editor's Blog and I'm sure you'll be amazed at what he does to "simply" put a song on his site.

I want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum and I hope it continues for a long time. There are truly talented people here.

The only thing I've seen is some short youtube vids, but they are only playing the beginning banjo you hear when you start the POTC ride. The bullfrog, crickets etc., you hear too.

I do not think that they have any music playing there during the normal time of the year. The ambient sound of the bayou is the soundtrack. Also, the theme is different that in DLRP - so Caribbean music would not be appropriate.

I've only been able to find a 8 min version on YouTube. But does anyone have a loop to Disney's Polynesian Resort? And I've also tried attaching a photo, but it doesn't let me.

I have a reconstruction of the Disneyland USA version of the Villains Lair Loop from the 90's - since the music was taken from classic Disney soundtracks, pretty much the entire thing could be replicated. You can hear this on the Fantasyland page of my web site.

Okay, Gang. Just got a PM that really BLEW me away. I thought that I had everything on the Carousel of Progress, since I have the EA 3 CD set, and 3 DVDs, even with the Rex Allen recording sessions. A person wanted to know if I had the narration of the "Progress City" exit show, and I said "Yes", since I was confident that I had the whole complete show. BUT I DON'T! I have looked EVERYWHERE, even emailed Dave Oneal to see if he had a copy of the narration or show. One person had a short 30 second blip from that show, but it was recorded with a live microphone with people talking, etc. and it was of no use.

So, if any of you die hard fans has a copy of this short 4-5 minute show, please, PLEASE let me know, I really HATE not having the complete show.

Man, I hadn't been able to get on the boards since yesterday afternoon. Don't know what happened.

Okay, listen, people. The CMs at the parks are NOT any kind of authorities on Disney. To most of them, it's just a JOB, and most of the stuff that I have heard from CMs is total bullshit! Most recently, when I complained how dark the Haunted Mansion was, the CM at the exit told me that the lights were adjusted back in 1969, on opening day, and they have not been changed all the way down the line! BULLSHIT!

Awhile ago, a CM told me that the new "Star Wars" land was going to be build where the employees parking lot was located, over by California Adventure, since the employees were given notice that construction was going to be started on that area, and they would have to relocate where they parked! NO official mention of any "Star Wars" land has been made by Disney, that I know of, and so it just sounds like another brain fart from the CM!!!

Well put greg you see all the attractions updated eg pirates ect i find it impossible that a set of lights in hm have not your telling me that the bulb has not blown in 40 yrs!

And i read that article about star wars land. And on the article it contain no comments or unterviews wuth any disney officials all they have commented is it is something theu would like to do.

The worst thing one can ever do is listen to front-line Cast Members in regards to anything other than their specific work area/duty. At 60,000 employees, the WDW rumor mill travels faster than a game of Telephone, and about as accurately! I once had a cast member try to show off his knowledge by telling me and my party that the Castle Suite cost $1 BILLION to construct. Little did he know that there were several Imagineers in the group, including myself, and we schooled him on (a) how that figure is not remotely close to being accurate, (b) the obvious lack of validity of information he might hear from his buddies in the future, and (c) the dangers and risks of losing his job by passing said information on to guests!

These people obvisly dont want to work at disney idiots i would love to be at the park all day.

You're more than welcome! I ultimately have to give credit back to the Disney music-lovers community. Without the reference info and music posts from others, we'd never find new stuff. I don't trust that article. Seems like a very ill informed reporter. Some of those rumors have already been quashed. This reporter cites no sources for their information, and reads as if they are not a Disney expert at all. It is written in very laymen language. Star Wars land in the studio has been put on hold, and there have been absolutely no rumors about Great Movie ride other than fan speculation and wishful thinking. Same can be said about A Frozen ride. All that has been said is that something is planed for Frozen. No definite plans have been laid out, and the Maelstrom removal is nothing more than a fan created rumor out of armchair Imagineering. To say Soarin' is closing is misinformation. They are just upgrading it. The fact that Captain EO is going to close is not news to anyone, and using the fountains in the Polynesian to round out your list to five is a stretch. I would take this article with more than a grain of salt. I would take it with a few tea spoons.
