I`m glad to present you all a rip of the game that has been available under the name of "Ryu ga gotoku 4" on Japanese market for 9 months already and is scheduled to be released in the West but a year after its JP release (IE in March 2011). So this is an opportunity to listen to this great score before the game is officially in EU and NA stores! The ones who are interested but don`t have vgmstream installed yet should follow these simple instructions (Thread 76405) (and remember that vgmstream is implemented not only in Winamp but also in Foobar 2000 and even not that well-known player titled XMplay), the ones who know how to play ADX / AIX files which these series have been using since the very 1st game (came out on PS2 in 2005) should simply read what these parts contain and download the ones they want:

Battle tracks as usual are the heart of the whole soundtrack, various in style yet all highly energetic tracks! This pack also has staffrole, title and gameover tracks thrown in as I decided that they don`t go well with contents of all the other music packages. Fans who follow the series for a long time will definitely recognize a few tracks from the 3rd game (but don`t worry as there`re not many recycled tracks).
Minigames and advertisements - well the name says it all. Borrows quite some tracks from the 3rd game too but they`re here for completeness purposes.
Karaoke - big part because not only it has several tracks per song but it`s rather an expansion of Yakuza3 list of songs than a new setlist.
Ambient - not that important as it`s mostly mall or elevator music.
Hact - videos.

There`s also a big folder titled Usen but from a brief view it contains tracks similar to that ambient part so it doesn`t seem very important. But as soon as I check them all out I`ll update the thread with the tracks that feel worthy to expand this yet big (more than a GB!) rip.

Can upload to Mediafire please?
Surely that`s possible but that`ll take some time (music takes ~ 2.5 GB when unpacked). I stopped uploading to Mediafire when posting my own rips just because those mirrors rarely get more than 2-3 downloads but when needed I can make some use of my MF account again.

These instructions you provided... Will they work on Windows Vista as well?
Those instructions were written by Alpha23 not me and they use Windows XP and 7 for example I see. But since you have examples for 2 OSs you can try finding the folder where you should put external DLLs yourself. I hope that the folder where the DLLs should be placed in Vista is not highly different from XP or 7.

Almost forgot - there`s definitely a standalone ADX plugin for Winamp, it allows ADX files to play in Winamp without installing any external DLLs and vgmstream. If I find it I`ll link you to it.
Here (http://www.winamp.com/plugin/adx-plugin/144845) it is!

Well guys, I will be working on the Karaoke Part for Yakuza 4, I might have found a way to combine the separate .adx files together to make the song complete apparently, its work in progress but so far is promising, i will be posting links once the files are properly combined into .mp3 :P wish me luck

Hi guys,

I have finishing compiling the karaoke lists of songs, you can download from the link below:
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0QD8JY1U) (631.76 MB)

follow these simple instructions (Thread 76405)
If you install
this plugin (http://www.winamp.com/plugin/adx-plugin/144845) it won`t obviously play AIX. If you install vgmstream plugin it will play both ADX and AIX and you can convert whatever you can listen to in Winamp with disc writer plugin. With this one you will be able to convert to many formats not only to WAV. I hope you`re able to search for another plugin on official Winamp site, it`s very unlikely that they don`t have it there if they have even ADX plugin.

How do I open the files named "RGG4.7z.001"? ):

JBTND

Download 7-zip. (http://7-zip.org/download.html)
But of course you may use either any halfway recent WinRAR build (I mean released in a few past years, not v1.00 or the likes of it) or any other archiving program capable of opening/extracting split 7z files.
However if it`s unpacking procedure which already gives you trouble I`m afraid to even think what ordeal you have yet to embrace to convert or at least play the tracks...

Do you have Ryu ga Gotoku (Yakuza) 3?

JBTND

Yes, luckily it`s still available from this post http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/jbtnd%60s-soundtrack-collection-65263/4.html#post2053914 in my personal thread. However you can also DL all of it in one file from here (http://psf3.joshw.info/y/Yakuza%203%20%5bRyu%20ga%20Gotoku%203%5d%20(2009-02-26)(-)(Sega).7z) as it should be exactly the same thing which I mirrored here long time before this rip became available through any other means of distribution than torrents. Oh and RGG3 ripping credits go to HCS64 team which originally posted it in their own place for such stuff.

The file RGG4.7z.001 seems to be Corrupted. I redownloaded the File four Times now and upon opening it, it always gives me the error message "The Archive is corrupt". I tried it both with WinRAR and 7-zip and no luck. Do you guys know what is going on?

JBTND

Have you gotten yourself all the remaining parts (from RGG4.7z.002 to RGG4.7z.011) and more importantly put them in the same folder as the 1st one before you tried to open the archive (IE clicking on RGG4.7z.001 if you have 7-zip integrated into your OS contextual menus or via 7-zip file manager itself)? That`s the only reason I can think of right now apart from the file actually being corrupted.

But even if it is you can alternatively get it from here (http://psf3.joshw.info/y/Yakuza%204%20%5bRyu%20ga%20Gotoku%204%20-%20Densetsu%20wo%20Tsugumono%5d%20(2010-03-18)(-)(Sega).7z) courtesy of Snakemeat from HCS64 VGM investigating & ripping team. Notice that their version of rip was made independently and there might be some differences however I hope even if they`re they`ll be of entirely beneficial (to user) nature (like demuxed audio streams from movies just might happen to be included in their package while in my own version they`ve never been present.
