I was surfing around on the net the other day when i came across a FFVII page with all the secrets. As i looked down the list i found a secret that said if you reach level 95 or over at the end of the game sephiroth is alot stronger and more difficult to beat.

I was wondering if anyone has ever reached level 95 or over and faced sephiroth, is he stronger or is it another rumor?

well, a friend of mine told me about this ages ago, so i always assumed it to be true. but, ive never been above 95, coz levelling up is boring

I was at level 98 when I faced him. I don't think it is true. I had almost no trouble destroying Sephiroth. Too easy, I think. In my opinion, the higher the level, easier the bosses.

No, it's true, but it's not quite right. Sephiroth's HP increases based on the number of characters you have at level 99. It will also increase if you use KOtR on Jenova Synthesis. Here's a page that has a complete breakdown on it:

I never got higher then lvl 80 with Cloud. It takes so long in ff7 too level up when you are at the high levels. Kinda boring and frustrating x.x but oh well :E

Hmm I always had my main 3 characters lvl99 and everyone else above lvl75 and I never noticed it actually. I always fought without KOTR for the challenge. But I have used KOTR+mime one or two times ^_^. But that was another game. I have played this game too much. I have finished it about 30 times o_O but I never noticed the difference in streangt/hp from Sephiroth.

Well, that solves my little problem. I always wondered why hitting Sephiroth with Red XIII's Cosmo Memory (9999 damage), Tifa's Complete Seven Hit Limit Break (around 6000 plus for each hit, so times seven is about....... 42000, but getting closer to 70000 as it gets to 9999 no matter if you're "Hit" or "Yeah") and yet it didn't kill him. (Complete damage is around the 80000 mark there.)

It makes me wonder if Square programmers get bored and each work on a REALLY pointless, difficult formula to calculate the final boss' HP. Or any boss, for that matter. I wonder if there's a sweepstake......

It is true that sephiroth gets stronger if you are level 99. But not much stronger. What really happens is he will attack more often.

I beat Sephiroth when I was at level 99, and it was easier than sin.

this is true, after about lvl 65 safer sephiroth is whole lot more agrressive, ive seen him use super nova four times in one battle and i still survived.

When I was on level 87 for all 3 of my characters, he never used pale horse, but always that darn summon Super Nova and would be just a problem, it is hard to beat him when you have super nova ever turn being launched at you. 5000 hit points down the drain a shot.

Well, use KoTR XD. It kills him in one go if you pair it with MP Turbo.

Anyway, it ain't true. I versed him once at lvl 60, and again at lvl 99 and the lvl 99 one was much easier.

It is true and I know so for a fact. It may have been easier because your characters were at level 99, but he still would have had more HP.
