And also, of course, in that promo - has it leaked yet?

It's funny to see how Desplat divide people. Some people find his music inventive, original and see a future great composer while some people find there is nothing exceptionnal about him...
I, I don't know well-enough all his scores but the only one I really liked was "The Curious case of Benjamin Buton" (maybe a score a little bit underestimate)

But we can looking forward and have some expectations for the next Harry Potter score!!

First album I got was Birth, and was a bit underwhelmed, but then started listening to him more and more attentively, and now I think he's the next John Williams :) His music and his use of the orchestra is very exciting and is often inventive as well. Very subtle and elegant as well. Not in your face music except when it needs to be! (e.g. finales of Golden Compass or Largo Winch!) My favourite albums are The Golden Compass, Lust, Caution, The Painted Veil, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Les Milles, Largo Winch, Hostage, and of course the Audiard compilation! Excellent stuff. Some of his French scores are outstanding, too, like Afterwards and L'Ennemi intime, but those are perhaps more of an acquired taste (in other words: if you like those albums above).
