Nevermind, I understand the process now. I hope this works; I'll use Smart FTP if that's alright with you, Shively. I would be very happy to get the LOTRO soundtrack, as I already own the game, and would rather not purchase a Special Edition just for the soundtrack.

I used to be alittle more easy with that because there are many where I only liked 1-4 tracks of it but kept the whole thing.. Movie and game albums are not something to have just a little of.. But as time went on I was forced to be more picky with the anime and movie area for my growing game album collection..

As much as I enjoy helping new people get into learning how to use an FTP and sharing with them, I've not had the time to make a decent FAQ. All I can say is please go download flashfxp.com and read their faq on it. its VERY simple and worth the time put in for what you get out of it.

Its really simple

Download FlashFXP

install it

open it

look at upper left top and click on Session than quick connect

a box opens up


for URL put my IP address
for log in name put your forum name
for PW put in the PW it shows on first post
leave port alone since I use the default port that flashfxp gives.

hit connect.


Browse my folders
Right click on a FOLDER and hit transfer.

TIP, DONT TRY AND DOWNLOAD MY ENTIRE COLLECTION, just high light albums you want.

I debated many times about how GFF is more "mature" than FFS.
Even if you have some mod problems in the past, the actual GFF is quite nice.
At least they all know how to use a FTP client..

I'd suggest you keep your post open there, and close it here.
On FFS there is absolutly no quality control.. And that goes for music you can find here, to poeple that lurk & the 10K leechers that suscribe without ever posting once.

Second, well I hope you find somewhere nicer in terms of forums to go to. I'm with Anatar on GFF being some good forums. I hung around there for quite some time, and the mods were awesome about keeping bullshit in check.

Last, thanks for posting your email. I'd felt sad that I hadn't grabbed the readme file off your FTP and was kinda screwed for a means to contact you later. That said, I have a fair bit of music I'd like to upload at some point. (Just have to do so after Spring break, once i'm back to my dorm room and computer. ;P ) So I'll be contacting you about that later on.

I tried to do ftp on FFS, but it descended into a pit of absolute failure. I think anatar already covered most of it, but the reason im staying at FFS is because my banishment from Gamingforce, i acted like a complete dick in the past and now im perma-banned, if i could have a seciond chance i could, but its unlikely to happen. I guess i was just a n00b to the scene and didn't understand anything about GFF, but i know now why there is so much mature than this board. Its obvious that they don't want another FFS to happen to them and for that i respect that. Sure the mods may seem harsh, but they have a reason to.

I still continue to share here in my thread because i know there are some people on here that are absolutely grateful. for my work. As for the rest of the forums outside the vg section, its complete shit. I never venture to any other parts.

But much more about the music itself, discoveries...

There is of course a dozen of nice permanent FTP to be found, but believe it or not, it's not overcrowded and spammed.

I am also using FFS, cause from time to time, you can find a rarity out of nowhere, and there are a few nice VGM fans here too.

It could be better with a few mods here and there (certainly not doing the same serious job as GFF)..
But my biggest wish would to close the General "penis" board as Shively stated previously..
Oh and if any subjects "Final Fantasy" & "Pokemon" could be banned/deleted i'd be happy. ;)

Well i have a dynami ip, but somehow they Banned the 192.168 range, because whenever i try to access the site, it just says:Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here.

I even tried to access on my dads compute which is connected to the same network, but no dice, i think my whole house network is banned from gff lol, weird.
