Heat Trigger is awesome too, and it really is a tempting set! I can completely understand how people get sucked into buying all the W forms. I absolutely love the expressiveness of the W mold, and I can think of great ways to pose every form. I'm happy with my one form per rider rule with my sole exception, though.

Of course if I do grab Kamen Rider Joker one of these days I am going to convince myself he counts as a separate form. Disease~

I've seen him for 4000 yen several times on Mandarake. Would prefer 3500 yen, or cheaper, but 4000 is doable, for me. I'll probably order him with some other stuff too, so I can avoid a stocking fee and pay less shipping.

I just stick paper behind figures, sometimes! Started doing this because I was getting bad glare off of stuff on my countertop, but I think it looks pretty nice in pictures! I'd love to make a lightbox and try that out too. People tell me that it isn't all that hard.

Sometimes I look at my main set of Imagin pics and think how lame it is that I've got all the clamshells in the background. But, then I'm like eh, I'm not a professional photographer, I just happen to be taking pictures while I'm playing with my toys~

You come up with awesome poses that really feel like the characters, and that's what makes toy pics special. :) Seeing background stuff is fun sometimes, too! There's one person whose toy pictures I'm always saving who just takes them on his desk. He has neat props and comes up with great poses, and it doesn't matter it isn't flawless photography.



Mostly, I'd just like to be able to really capture some detailing that doesn't normally show up in my photographs, and to be able to get shots that'll be good for photo comics or image macros.

^____^ Just try to be creative as I can :) Came up with a ridiculous but still cool (to me) combination of the Gosei machines, today.

After being delayed and canceled the Jurassic Park T-Rex is finally going to be released. And to add on top of it Monsters Inc. will be getting Revoltechs too! 2 questions about them, 1. will they be in the proper scale to each other and if so 2. how will they be priced? Sully is huge and Mike is small so how will they be the same price is they're not a box set? I guess Boo in monster costume could be packed in with Mike, then again if Mike is going to have alt faces they'd have to pretty much give you a whole new body.

While it doesn't hurt the play value joints would greatly improve it! Biting, stalking, jump attack like in Land Before Time, you can put clothes and armor onto a dino that bends better than a stiff one, and just look at that head looking off to the side.

There's just so much potential with Avatar, Zelda, & FLCL for toys. Lots of costumes, plenty of accessories, And the characters are super expressive that the faces they could come with are unlimited! Let's look at katara, Water tribe heavy coat, stripped down to water tribe dress, stripped down to skirt boob tube, earth kingdom formal dress, fire nation clothes, Sapphire Fire, assault on the fire nation, painted lady, Ninja, last agni kai, green finale dress. That's 11 that I could think of.

Well, it's mostly FF figures I collect, so I'd have to say I'd love SE to bring out more FFXI figures - a tarutaru NPC 'four pack' and an admittedly cool Shadowlord statue aren't enough. :p I'd especially love to see 'adventurer' figures as random Job (AF) and race combinations, or in both kinds of racial gear.

But SE being what they are, that would probably never happen. *sighs*

Sadly Neg, that problem wasn't a recent occurrence either - it plagued my old Kotobukuya FFVIII GF figures from 1999 - Gilgamesh's arms broke off at the joints (which were very flimsy), and Ifrit's right leg broke at the hip. It seems they're manufactured with the obsessive 'collector' in mind (in other words, one of those freaks that just keeps their figures packaged), rather than making them with 'play' value. :(

Luckily my FFVIII Shiva and Bahamut figures haven't suffered the same fate, but I'm just extra careful with handling them now.

And think of how much room you're wasting with all the plastic bubbles. For those of you who don't do star wars guys the newest ones are on a vintage style card back which is a thinner card and the plastic is only enough to keep the figure in. Sure we no longer get 2 little people a pack but they stopped doing that a while ago.

Most of these lines are no longer around, and while I still *could* collect them, I'd only feel comfortable seeking out a line no longer in stores if it was one of the only things I was collecting. Maybe I'll get some of these guys someday when I feel done with DCUC or Kamen Rider toys. :)

I managed to get Treasure Island Kermit at KB Toys before it closed and got a loose Fozzie, Scooter, Kermit, Animal, Gonzo, & Swedish Chef at a particularly large yard sale in the rich part of town as well as the Pigs in Space playset mint in beaten up box from another yard sale. I'm happy with those but Chef's & Fozzie's hats are the only parts that where still with them. Statler and Waldorf would be cool to have in your home theater in a little balcony shelf above the TV.

I've received a handful of both as unrequested gifts and while I love them and the idea of giant lego guys with articulation and customizing possibilities and super cute "baby versions" of Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Eva, Hellboy, DBZ, WWF, Doctor Who and many more I just don't have the drive or funds to go crazy on them. Plus the 2 packing leads to the Micro Machine trap of mixing new figures in with older ones you already have.

Well I do regret not getting more Marvel Legends back when they were $7 and came with a comic and various lego sets but seeing as how I have those things I don't think it counts.

Yes every time I've been at toys r us they've had marvel, dc, ghostbusters, and street fighter guys. Target carried them for a while but they didn't sell well and got super clearance which is most likely how I got them gifted to me.

It's going to be weird with OOO. There's just so much going on with forms and so much has been underused that I'm not sure what will feel right, at this point. Kind of wish they'd held out on Tajador a little longer, just made that the final form and stopped with the new medals. There are so many combinations that things definitely wouldn't have gotten boring, and Tajador has enough story impact to work as a final form.

Maybe there'll be a second form using all of the Ankh core medals that will wind up being OOO's true final form. Kind of doubt it though, since we're getting closer and closer to endgame.

No matter what we're going to wind up with way too many underused forms. :( Hope they tone things down a lot next season.

Yeah, they just feel like they've stagnated on doing non-combos when that should be what they should have been focusing on. We should have had fluid form changing AGES ago.

Bet they won't stop even though Date doesn't want Eiji to go beserk. They have so few medals now compared to when they started. It's lost that kinetic feel of gainging lots of medals and then losing them. It's just sorta plateau'd and that's not good.

TaJaDor as the final form would have made me really happy, but I'm biased beyond all recognition.

The scrolls Kougami had make it look like Ankh only has the 3, but you never know.

Skirt cuts don't look too fantastic.

Does look a bit weird near the crotch. I'll have to wait for review pictures to see how bad it really is. Would've preferred something more like how they handled the skirt pieces on Imagin figures, but I guess it doesn't matter all that much since I'm not getting them anyways. Lack of accessories is definitely my primary concern right now, because if that's all they come with they've been progressively cutting back on accessories with each set of Shinkenger releases. Makes me think the sales are weaker than they look from here.

Wouldn't be surprised if the sales for Chiaki and Ryuunosuke were weak on account of the whole exclusive thing. PEOPLE WILL BUY THESE GUYS AS A SET, BANDAI.

I really love Figma Luka, but at this point, I want so much that I could never justify buying a toy of a character I have no attachment to. I'm not sure if the Vocaloid girls even have real personalities?

Also Kabuto looks pretty awesome there. I'm excited to pose Nasca with Femme. He seems like the sort of figure who should be posed with a lady~

I don't really have a particular attachment to any of the bikes. Blade bikes came with a figure and are fairly cheap from what I've seen. So, if I ever get an itch, it's easy to scratch.

Hardboilder is cool, but the toy is lackluster. They probably don't count Auto-Vajin as a bike. I figure they'd still want to make him.

If there's any shame it's that we never got a BeatGouram.

It's actually really fun for me to try and find a bike that's a close-ish match to the ones on the show. Hope you're right and the Auto-Vajin isn't included in that, as that's the one rider bike I would've loved to buy. It's great to have bikes for them, but having the specific one isn't at all important. I think most of them don't even come with handlebar hands, so the fit you get with them probably isn't much better than a cheapo one.

BeatGouram definitely would've been cool. One of the few bikes that really feels important to the show, and I can think of some great poses to do with it.

I should go cheap bike hunting. Passed up a set that had ones that would have worked for Leangle and.....Blade, I want to say. The third one was out of left field.

Yeah, it was Blade. It was blue, though. So, not good for my purposes.

I'd recommend Toys R Us, if your stores don't have a big selection of Maisto stuff. My Toys R Us Express had a ton of those bikes in the red boxes. I can't remember the brand name but I'm pretty sure you'll know what I'm talking about here. They have a really good Kiva bike.

The quality control of the Figuarts line is generally pretty high. It's the OOO figures specifically that have been having some problems. There've been a lot of complaints about less figures having diecast feet, but it seems like Bandai's addressed that (Both Kaixa and Putotera are confirmed to have them, Amazon's not getting them because he's an organic rider), and in general, the stuff that's coming out seems to be pretty great. Early reviews for the figure Neg posted are terrific. I have no idea why the OOO line specifically is plagued with issues. These problems are pretty minor, but with expensive toys, a problem is a problem.

I'm finally trying to do something about the modding I want to do to that Batman figure I picked up. I got his head popped off and am trying to get his cape off of him..... there's some really strong glue on the thing. Anyone have good suggestions on how to get that cape off without breakin' out the knife?

Gatack got reissued last night. Going to bed early killed me again. ; ; Got up this morning at like 5:15, saw an email saying he was reissued, was super excited, but he was gone on HS and Amiami. Got home, saw on /toy/ he was up again for a while. Message was from 5:51. I left my house at 5:50. ; ;

I'll get him, I'm not super worried. It worked out fine for Kick and I don't think Gatack's ever been anywhere near as sought after as he was. Just feels like I'm being foiled at every turn. I already had alerts for him up at Hobbysearch and Angolz so I'll get an email next time he turns up. I check Amiami all the time anyways.

Ixa's getting reissued too, might be good if you wanted to get him for super cheap. Think he's still up on Amiami.

Weird. I thought I read that they were something like 3600 a piece. I'm probably just mixing them up with the exclusive boys in my head, Oki would obviously know more about this than me. The entire way the Shinkenger release is being handled is driving me crazy. If all the Gokaiger releases are non-exclusive I am going to Gills rage it up.

Gatack is up on HLJ, but he's way cheaper on Amiami. He's still listed as temporary sold out on Amiami so I've just been leaving his page open and refreshing constantly so that hopefully I can catch him when they restock. Even if I miss out on pre-orders I know they'll get stock of him when he's actually out too. I'm not as worried with him as I was with Kickhopper and will probably will be with Sasword. On /toy/ people have been joking that after Gatack they're going to re-release Drake instead of him. Those would be so toasty shelves!

Probably going to pre-order both Kaixa and Amazon whenever they show up. I feel like pre-orders have helped me to be pretty reasonable with how I spend my toy money so I might as well keep it up, since I'm absolutely certain I want the both of them.

The only SDCC thing I'm going to pursue this year will probably be the Starscream/Cobra Commander set. They released the price today, and it's only going to be $44 as opposed to the $80 initially rumored. Those are all neat indeed however. If I had all the money in the world there are few toys I wouldn't go ahead and buy!

If the Swamp Thing set actually has good articulation and just really well hidden joints, like I've seen people suggesting, then I'm probably going to try and grab it. I haven't had much luck with SDCC Exclusives in recent years, though. Still mourning the loss of Plastic Man!

The DCUC Prototypes always have missing joints compared to the final versions. They almost always lack the mid-thigh swivels at the least. I'm not worried about it.

I was pretty down about not getting Plastic Man too. No sweat though, ONE DAY.

I saw a bunch of the DCUC Green Lantern figures today and got all excited but they didn't have the set with Dex-Starr. ; ; He's the only one I'm after. Well, I'd love Stel, but he's not worth what it would take to get him.

I've read that the skirts on the Shinkenger ladies do indeed have a snap-off piece. Think that was a wise decision on Bandai's part, unlike some other Shinkenger figuarts decisions which I don't think I need to mention at this point. XD Really looking forward to seeing them reviewed.

I might consider getting one of the Ryuki boys (probably Knight Survive). I'm really glad I ordered Figma Femme. Kind of glad she got delayed too, just because I was able to combine shipping with my Mighty and save myself some money.

Hanging out with other toku toy collectors is a sure-fire way to feel better about your spending habits. XD It's hard for me to feel that guilty about what I buy when I'm looking at other people's massive pre-order charts. I wish I was less wishy-washy about getting stuff when I have the chance, but I'm so happy with every figure I have, so I guess that's worked out pretty well for me thus far.

I think it's absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to have it, but Mighty form was the right choice, for me. Just feels more like Godai than any other form to me. Maybe it's just because it's the form he was in for my favorite thumbs up moment.

I'm just so used to using the scales for human figures. XD Anything 5 inches or bigger is good for me. Maybe 4 inches, depending on what the monster looks like. I'd prefer bigger stuff just because it's easier to have more than one guy attacking at once that way.

With a lot of these people pre-ordering, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that that's not the case. They just pre-order everything until they realize they're out of money. It's so easy to get sucked into the collection aspect and the GOT TO HAVE IT NOW feeling with toys, you know? Most of the stuff we all collect doesn't really depreciate in value, and unless it winds up shelf-warming, it's only going to get harder to get, so I can totally understand why people feel that need to buy up everything right away. See some of these same people throwing stuff up in BST shortly after it comes out. :( Just sort of bums me out because I want people to enjoy toy collecting, not feel stressed out by it. But it's their life, their money.

I got myself a Gatack pre-order! Angolz sent me an email letting me know he was in stock this morning before work and I snatched him up. ^^ Got a pretty great price on him too. Really happy to have another Kabuto boy.

Makes me feel good about my chances to get Black and Shadow Moon when they come out, if I decide to go for it. Just wish there wasn't so much I wanted to buy. I realize the ridiculousness of me typing this when I regularly complain about characters who don't have figuarts.

The way I'm looking at it now, there's only a finite number of series left for me. Beyond that, there's just really Blade figuarts in the 'unknown future'

This journey is nearer to its end than its beginning. All should be well.

I've heard Hobby Search is really awesome if you order from them regularly. They always have sales going on, and there's the point system, so you can get some really good deals. Someone I talk to got a Gills for like $10 from them.

I need to decide what I'm going to do about the rest of these series. Right now I want 2 figures from both Kiva and Agito. The smart thing would be just to get IXA and Gills. Is Agito Ground getting a re-release anytime soon? The Souchaku Henshin is a bit bulky for my tastes, as much as I'd like for him to match Kuuga. I figure they went to those larger cuffs after Kuuga but didn't get their craft down until the snap on pieces.

I'm not picky, so I can use Joker hands, I'd imagine. Shous have to stick together~

I've read that he's constructed pretty similarly to some Hot Toys stuff? He has an internal skeleton and you can bend it up to a certain point. Not sure if I'm going to try and score him or not.

McFarlane Toys put out some Sleepy Hollow-movie toys and the Headless Horseman had legs like that. The internal skeleton punctured the outside really easily. All this time later I'm sure Mr. Thang will be better made.

I'm reminded of Vangelus and the source of the Bale-master.

Was really excited when I found it because it's such a good match, for a random toy motorcycle from Walmart! Deneb has his mount, but I really need to get Zeronos a bike of his own. Maybe something totally different from the Zerohorn? Kind of want to get Deneb an actual bicycle, too. These are such great props. Highly recommend them to anyone who collects 1:12 scale guys.

I looked for some, yesterday. Was disappointed with what I saw. Also that I couldn't find the American Shinkenmaru. Don't know why, considering I shouldn't ever expect to find anything Samurai that's worth buying in person, anyway.

Settled for a card binder. Oooooh so exciting XD

Cool idea but I think it's better to have showing parts or have it just be a statue. I'd imagine if cheep wire can rip through bendy guys plastic joints would do the same. A few of the Lord of the Rings guys came with this, Warg orc, Black Rider with horse, & the 1st Strider came with rubber legs over joints and so far they've held up for 9 years.

They are indeed! Well, except for the helmet. He's a Souchaku Henshin, they have all sorts of removable armor and stuff like that. A lot of them have human heads but they look kinda goofy.

They're both Maisto bikes.

Unmasked Masked Riders? Considering how bad the Bale head on the Revoltech Batman is I guess they would be kinda durp looking.

Kuuga head is the best I have. Mutsuki's head is actually really nice, it's just not Mutsuki XD

My fucker's only held together by 2 cam locks and the cardboard backing, they couldn't even afford to add enough real screws in the set and use 2 of the metal shelf pins to hold the unit together.

I bought 2 dark brown bookshelves like in February for my books, cds, dvds, & figure display. The top 2 shelves on each case are for figures and junk.

I wanted a fantasy shelf with Lord of the Rings guys along with any others like the monsters and pirates form the neighboring shelf but I almost have no room for just the main cast and I still had to leave out the Witchking, Theoden, Eomer, faramir, & a bunch of orcs.
For risers I used some old blocks home made that are recycled from scrap building material. expect for the Star wars guys, they're on a plastic 3 level display shelf which I'd love to get a few more of.

Seeing nice shelf displays always makes me jelly. JELLY.

You really like my setup? Figuring out how to get that spider in there was the hardest part. About every other leg joint has a real toy joint in it but only the ones going out of the body are double ball jointed and legs are sculpted into a position that makes her look like a dead curled up spider so she could fit on the card back which means sometimes you'll need to turn the whole leg upside down to get a good stance.

I built a wire-frame-ish tower, today. I didn't put one of the sets of crossbars on. I feel like a rebel. An architectural rebel.

It's certainly better than my complete lack of one!

I did! The cardboard backing is pretty bad. I mounted it to the wall so at least it feels pretty sturdy, now. It was just so cheap and I wanted something quick to pose toys on until maybe I can get those awesome glass cases from Ikea.

I have one really nice bookshelf, but it's only a 3 shelf one. I use it for comics and books. I guess I could clear a shelf and use it for toys. I've have to use risers to take full advantage of it because it's really deep.

Your displays look awesome! Are those wooden blocks you're using for risers in some of the pictures? Neat idea. The Lord of the Rings one is my favorite.

Seems like when my stores get new DCUC stuff in, it's usually waaaay after it's come out. I just started seeing Alan Scott in stores this month. I have been seeing some of the new Green Lantern stuff so that's my primary focus when I head to the toy aisle. After that set with Dex-starr.

I never saw the first wave of GL DCUC stuff around so it was weird finding those. The line has wacky distribution in most places. Some waves don't show up, some are over-ordered, stores here and there drop the line for a while only to bring it back later, blah blah. WACKY.

Was thinking about OCC Birth, but then I watched a review. The sasori is pretty cool, but the parts seem a bit shit and he seemed to have trouble standing up in Birthday mode. Guy said his had loose hips and some clear coat could fix that, but I just found myself wanting the figuart by the end of it, regardless.
