Hi, and welcome to my very first contribution to the forums! I noticed that the only rip of Crash TTR here had only the main themes for each level, and only in 128kbps, which I consider rather bad quality.

I made this one using the line-in on my iAUDIO mp3 player. It's not a perfect rip but the quality is at least a bit better (224), and I've recorded the challenge, winning and losing themes as well.

You'll note that I've numbered the tracks and some are missing, there's a reason for that, please see the readme.txt.

Also, this file took about three hours for me to upload (that is, after spending two and a half hour at mediafire before said site informed me that the file was too big), so if you download it please say thanks, or something.

Thank you so much!
You know what would be even better? if you could do the already ripped tracks in this quality as well..
I think we atleast need a good version of the main titles and happily ever faster..
P.S I have read the txt file, But I still humbly request this :)

I know, I'd like to do a complete rip, but since it's not digital it takes forever to record the tracks, and on top of that I have to edit them so that the beginnings and ends sound good. Simply, it takes time, and I don't have a lot of that right now. :(

But isn't the main titles in the rip? And what is wrong with happily ever faster?

Happily ever faster has a pretty bad recording.
And the main titles you put is the short version, there's the long, much better one found in the other Gamerip.

Heh, the titles being only 1:22 must be because I don't like the music, so I thought it was enough...

And I din't even record anything named happily ever faster. (Sorry it was a long time since I did this rip so I had to look into the cttr folder to spot this). Do you mean the three tracks in the HEF world is badly recorded? I don't listen to them a lot. Are they that bad?

Hey, please =).
By chance, are you able to rip soundtracks from those games ?

"Looney Tunes Racing"
"Wallace & Gromit in the Project Zoo"
"Crash Nitro Kart"

Thanks. Of course, I think you need to own the games, lol.

Actually I have a few tracks from Nitro Kart. But it's nowhere near complete, I only recorded those I liked. Here's the list:

Assembly lane
Barin ruins
Clockwork wumpa
Deep sea driving
Hyper spaceway
Jungle boogie
Out of time
Race start fanfare
Teknee (hub)
Thunder struck
Titles
Velo's citadel (hub)
Winning tune

If it's interesting I can see if I can upload it. But these ones aren't exactly ripped either, they're recorded via my trusty mp3 player. I'd like to rip digitally, but PSound can't recognize most games, and I don't know of any other software that works.

Wow ! Thx !
I look for the title theme of CNK since many years ! =)
I am very interested, yes. Can you upload it, please ? =)

For the rest, you don't own the games ?
I also look for the game soundtrack from "war of the monsters" and from "the looney tunes : back in action - the game".

& ... Did you made other rips from Crash games that CTTR and CNK ? =)

I'll try tomorrow. The difficulties lie in that I have to use my school's internet connection for uploading and downloading.

Sorry, I don't have those.

I've made a lot of rips from all Crash games. But not all are good. I have actually replaced most of them with rips I got from gh, except warped, because that rip was entirely in mono. And Wrath of cortex lacked music from the last five levels. I have those missing tracks, but only in 160, and the sound isn't the best.

Do you will upload all your own rips from Crash games, soon ? =)
Thanks !

Also, if you want, you can visit my vgm collection's thread, it's the first link in my sig. But if you get a soundtrack from it, you have to write what you take, please ;-).

teblad, I thank you for your responses.
If you cam make a more complete rip of this game, I will be really really grateful (got any requests?)
main titles and happily ever faster are my fav. tracks from the game, so if you can atleast record a full good quality version of these songs, I will be just as happy.

Thanks again!

Just for record-keeping purposes, here are the tracks that are absent from any CTTR rips:
-Mini-Games: Critter Clobber, Dropped on Djion, Below the Briny, Mummy Mash, Astro Lanes/Von Clutch's Lanes, and Jellyfish Smack
-Amusement Park: Tyrannosaurus Wrecks (the music heard on the other side of the mountain, the area with all the lava and snow), Astro Land

It'd be awesome if some of these could be ripped.

Yes, me too. I'll appreciate if you can also rip the music from the mini-games of the park.
My fav. is : Astro Lanes/Von Clutch's Lanes =).

Also, can we will get download link from all your rips, please ? =)
Maybe, you can create your own thread (like me, and others did), with all your rips, and your collection of VGM ! =)

I've been listening to 'Once upon a tire', 'Track and the beanstalk', and 'Evilocity' from my rip. I don't get it. What's so bad with those tracks? Is there a noise that's not on the others? If you can specify what's wrong with the tracks, and write exactly what track you are talking about, it would help me out, because I don't hear anything strange.

No, those tracks are excellent.
Everything in your rip is.
DL the other existing CTTR rip and listen to the "happily ever faster' and "main theme" tracks, the other rip has a so-so quality of them and I would like you to record them as you did with the tracks you ripped.
In fact, As many as you can would be great, but mainly these two.

Thanks amld1, now i finally understand!

And another thing. I'm actually planning my super complete cttr rip (don't expect it to appear before the end of next month, though), and I'd like to hear what people has to say about some things before I start recording everything.

The 'winning' themes are so short, so they are looped four times in my rip, creating tracks over 4 minutes long. The 'losing' or 'challenge' themes are looped only twice, mainly because I didn't really like them. What is the better? A really long track with four repeats or a short track with the usual two repeats? I personally think the latter is better, because a piece of music gets pretty boring the third or fourth time you hear it. On the other hand, it seems some people don't like it that I made the main titles only around 1:20.

Also, the other cttr rip had the intros together with the music for the different levels. I'd prefer to leave out the intros, but what do you think?

This is your chance to affect how the rip will turn out! Get posting.

Hmm, the main title is realy the "main hub" music if I remember correctly, which I really love, the one you included might be a diffrent version, coz the one in the other rip had many more parts in it.
And the heavily ever faster tune is the one that starts with a little girl-like voice that sings 'la la la la la la la la~~', so far it's ripped so-so.
As for the level intro, if not together then make it a short track that is just before the level track so they blend together..

Well, I think you can handle this pretty well, Waiting anxiously for yourr rip, i didn't request this rip Coz I figured no one would redo an existing (yet sub par) gamerip, so i'm pleased:)
If you can, upload tracks as u rip em.

I have reuploaded the rip now. I am working on the complete music from cttr project but it will take a while before it is finished, so have patience. Also, a little help here would be appreciated. As far as I know each race level has seven themes: normal, winning, losing, challenge, and the intro, and the two goal fanfares. The platforming parts of the game has six themes for the Midway: the normal theme (as when you stand by the von Clutch statue), and the different themes when you stand by the entrances to the different hubs. Each hub has only one theme, am I right? And then there is the title screen theme of course, and the credits, which is a remix of the Twinsanity theme. And the minigames, which have five different themes. Have I forgotten anything?

For you who are curious, I have finished the title screen theme, the Midway themes, each hub, the minigames, the credits, and nearly everything on all race tracks up to Track and the Beanstalk. And there's also a track called Loading screen humour. :D Please don't ask me to post individual tracks from this new rip, because I simply won't. I will post everything when the rip is finished.
