The Complete Super Robot Wars Alpha Series Original Soundtracks!

Now we're talking! I have the Soundtracks for Alpha, Alpha Gaiden, Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 all uploaded and ready for download. Don't worry. I made sure Winzip didn't pull that same little gag it did when I was uploading Song of Iron Messiah.

- Super Robot Wars Alpha Complete Soundtrack (This is the complete soundtrack rather than the OST. It was re-released after the Dreamcast version came out and tracks #19 forward have the DC music upgrades. It also has the Alpha Gaiden symbol up top, though I'm not sure why. On a side note - You would not believe how long it took me to upload all of these OSTs. My web browser kept crashing when I was doing Multi-Upload of Alpha 3 and that took hours out of my day. And yours. There's no way Megaupload'll let you get these all at once unless you pay for their service.

FYI though: The Alpha 'complete' soundtrack is actually far from complete. I actually bought the album of this a while back thinking it had both complete tracks from Alpha & Alpha Gaiden (hence the 'Gaiden' character on the cover) - it did have from both, but just a few selections. The song 'Power' is used in Alpha Gaiden only, and some of the tracks are from series used only in Alpha Gaiden. There's only one track from the DC version of Alpha: Track 28, "Get A Dream" which is from the Sunrise Eiyutan series (an SRW Alpha DC exclusive series).

The complete soundtrack to Alpha would entail probably 2 or more CDs worth of audio, given that there are over 30 series represented., and many of them have at least 2 or 3 tracks each, and that's not even counting Banpresto Originals' music and ambient BGMs.

I'm currently downloading the Alpha Gaiden soundtrack, as many Alpha tracks carry over to it. I may find the unincluded tracks there.

The sets of Alpha 2 & 3 ARE complete, though. LOTS of great music to be had there, especially in Alpha 3. ^_^

My favorite SRW theme, (track 12 on Alpha 3 - Disc 3), I've only heard on Super Robot Taisen Original Generation before. The Alpha 3 version rocks very hard. Too hard. Ooog, my ears...

Hmmm...I was right that a couple of series tracks not on the Alpha set ARE indeed in Alpha Gaiden, but sadly, there's still some stuff missing...I was hoping for hard-to-find tracks I haven't heard in years like the Zabungle Walker Galliar theme & the intro theme of Turn A Gundam in it, but it's a no go :(

Ah, well. I really recommend the Banpresto Originals' themes in Alpha 3, especially Baran Doban's theme. Hot-blooded goodness just oozes from this album!! ^_^

On Play-Asia's site, there's a track listing for Super Robot Taisen Alpha's Original Soundtrack (out of print, sadly). It only has 25 tracks. Game soundtracks occasionally skimp on the music and SRW seems to be no exception. Looks like the Complete Soundtrack was the way to go after all.

'fraid not. Excellen isn't in any of the Alpha games. I'd check anything about Original Generation or Compact.

Hearing the SRW 3 OST really makes me wish i could play the game. It has Ideon in it along with goshogun and...I think it's the only srw to have all 3 romancing trilogy robots in it simultaneously (Daimos, Combattler, Voltes).

I didn't like the original generation characters or music nearly as much as the copyrighted mecha series. Nevertheless, this game should have had thrudgelmir, cybaster and Granzon in it.

That'd be Trombe. You can find it on Alpha 2 Disc 2 and on various Alpha 3 discs. There's a couple mixes of it here and there.

And what's the problem with the Alpha 1 and Alpha 3 Disc 1 zips? Nobody complained about them before. Try re-downloading them.

All of them. The original character music is usually on the last disks. Ratsel/Chef Boyardee's song is called "Trombe"

The longest version of Gong possible is the album version. Search around the forums for JAM Project (just type Super Robot Wars in the search box) and download album 4. Gong's on it.

Hm....good question. I know R-1's theme is on the Alpha 3 Soundtrack; Disc 3. As for the others, I don't know. What I do know is that the SRX theme is not on any of them. That's why I put it up on its own download link. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find that.

Okay Super Robot Fans, announcement time. Reuploading everything is going to take FOR-FREAKING-EVER. It'll get done and when it does, I'm going to make a new thread to host it in. The good news is now that I'm just going to merge all my uploaded Super Robot Wars music into the new thread. That means the SRW Alpha Soundtracks, SRX Theme, and Song of Iron Messiah will be there. As well as anything else I can get my grubby, little hands on. Be patient, though. You have no clue how long it took to do all that the first time around.

I'm trying! I'm trying! I tried uploading them all at once on File Factory's multiple file upload system and returned home to find it not only crashed on Alpha Gaiden but didn't give me the link for the Alpha I uploaded. This is nuts.

Each of these zip files is well over 100 MB and I got lots of them. I picked quality on the method I used to rip them instead of small size.

And none of these places will work at anything but a snail's pace. Got any suggestions?
