Also - Anti Existence - Can i direct yoiur attention (politly of course) to agents post
It's okay, hardly anyone else seems to be paying attention to that either. I'm either just gonna have to learn to live with it, or chuck the lifeline in favor of a different one in the future.
Yep. I've looked at the script more times than most uber-geeks. So, D is the only right answer. Positive.
Well hasn that just pretty much told her the answer anyways making this question void by default?
Agent0042
11-21-2006, 05:26 PM
So chuck the question then?
I don't have time to deal with this right now. More later...
I would man its a bit unfair when someone gives her the answer.
Also I know I dont run this thread but Agent0042 does and he has specifically asked that you post an answer and nothing more. So please abide by those rules, As its his thread.
MeruRikku
11-21-2006, 10:02 PM
I could see how it is a bit unfair, so I'm perfectly fine with having a new question. If not I guess I'll go with the majority and choose D.
Agent0042
11-21-2006, 11:35 PM
Right, new question.
Ask the Audience has been chucked as a lifeline. New lifeline --- Replace the Question. If you don't like the question being asked, you can choose to remove it and have it replaced with a question of similar difficulty --- but maybe it'll be about an area you're more familiar with. This question-swap this time does not count as a use of this lifeline, so it's still available to you. Oh, and yes, the answer to the last question was D.
For 16000 gil...
When Eiko first asks Dagger if she loves Zidane, Dagger responds by:
A.) Saying Yes
B.) Asking What/Why (Eiko would be asking this)
C.) Saying nothing at all
D.) Changing the subject
Oh, I forgot to tell you earlier, MeruRikku, but when you reached 8000 gil, you gained access to the Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. lifeline. You may consult any one document found by looking through one of those sites. If you use this lifeline, just tell me that you used it when answering it.
MeruRikku
11-22-2006, 02:45 AM
B, the others don't sound like something she'd say
Agent0042
11-22-2006, 03:18 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
You noodled it out, B. was indeed the correct answer. For 32000 gil, now. If you get this right, you can't leave with less than that...
How much gil does Regent Cid give as spending money to go shopping when the party arrives in Lindblum following the attack by Atomos? Is that...
A.) 5000 gil
B.) 1000 gil
C.) 2500 gil
D.) 3000 gil
You now have access to Double Dip. If you want to use it, give me two answer choices when answering.
MeruRikku
11-22-2006, 03:36 AM
Double Dip C and D please
Agent0042
11-22-2006, 04:58 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
The correct answer was D., 3000 gil. Well, you've reached the 32,000 gil mark, which means you can't leave with less than that. You're five away from the million and you still have the Switch the Question, Phone a Friend and the Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. lifelines available. Get this next question right, and you'll gain access to Ask the Experts.
So for 64,000 gil...
Which of the following enemies is not fought during the "You're Not Alone?" sequence? Is it:
A.) Abadon
B.) Hecteyes
C.) Shell Dragon
D.) Amdusias
MeruRikku
11-23-2006, 12:10 AM
Well I know you fight C and D......but A and B i'm iffy on. I have no idea what an Abadon looks like, but I don't remember it being Hecteyes.....so I'm just gonna guess A.....
Agent0042
11-23-2006, 12:20 AM
<font color="red">Wrong</font>
Hecteyes is one of the enemies you can fight on the way to Bran Bal, but you don't fight this one during that sequence. All of the others, you do.
Well, thanks for playing, MeruRikku. You leave with 32,000 gil. And now, it's time for our next Fastest Finger question...
Unscramble the following character names and then place them in the order when you can first encounter them:
A.) hesligmga
B.) woelll
C.) trfayle
D.) rein
MeruRikku

Agent0042
11-24-2006, 04:29 PM
Wrong. You guys are all way off-the-mark on a key-point. For those that are still interested in playing, see if you can recall the following quote and it may help you:
"I go by other names elsewhere. They're also just aliases, of course. You wanna know my real name? I'll tell you when you get better."
Those that have answered this time around are ineligible until the next Fastest Finger. If nobody has this by tomorrow, I'm gonna chuck this in favor of a new question and you'll all be eligible again.
AndyCJ
11-24-2006, 09:59 PM
If its over 24 hours after opening, am i legible again?
if so ill go with

Agent0042
11-24-2006, 11:52 PM
No, I don't think so. Sorry, but the game's still too relatively new --- nobody that's already played is eligible right now. It's just too soon.
And that's not the right answer either, though it's getting closer.
Lowell
Erin
Gilgamesh
Fratley
?
Agent0042

Agent0042
11-25-2006, 04:37 PM
Okay, this Fastest Finger question is eliminated. The correct answer would have been as follows:
A.) Gilgamesh
B.) Lowell
C.) Fratley
D.) Erin
The trick is that they were all in the right order already. Gilgamesh is the Four-Armed Man / Alleyway Jack --- Vivi encounters him right at the beginning of the game. Lowell is that actor dude, you can find him Lindblum. Fratley first shows up in Cleyra. And Erin is Sailor Erin, who you first meet at the Treno card tournament, which isn't until Disc 3.
So now for our next Fastest Finger question...
Place these eidolons in order of when they first become available to summon (not counting the technically unavailable starting out summons):
A.) Madeen
B.) Bahamut
C.) Ramuh
D.) Atomos
All who attempted the last one and who haven't played the game before are eligible.

11-25-2006, 08:35 PM

Agent0042
11-25-2006, 08:49 PM
Let's see who got it right and in the fastest time... Joey! Joey, congratulations, come on over to the Hot Seat!
Here's the explanation --- obviously, you get Ramuh first. Then you get Atomos back when Dagger gets back her stolen summons. Next comes Madeen, when Mog gives Eiko his power. Finally, Bahamut, just before Dagger cuts her hair, when Zidane gives her the Garnet.
Okay, so we have Joey in the Hot Seat. Joey has been with us on the Shrine since June. He lives in Arizona.
Well, I assume you're familiar with the rules and the lifelines, including the new Switch the Question lifeline that replaces Ask the Audience. Let's play!
For 100 gil...
One of the key locations in Final Fantasy IX is known as the:
A.) White Mage Village
B.) Black Mage Village
C.) Blue Mage Village
D.) Chartreuse Mage Village
Okay, this Fastest Finger question is eliminated. The correct answer would have been as follows:
A.) Gilgamesh
B.) Lowell
C.) Fratley
D.) Erin
I forget who Gilgamesh is, but, Im pretty Sure lowell is the First one that u can meet out of those 4 because, When the leader of Tantalus asks u If your Captureing Queen brahne or princess Garnet, If u say Queen brahne 100 times, Lowell Comes thru the door yelling Something, i forget what she says.
Wow. A totally random guess. Haha. I won't make it far but this should be fun.
B.) Black Mage Village is the correct answer.
Agent0042

Oh, ChunkyMunky informed me of a mistake I made earlier in regards to the Fastest Finger question that had to be thrown out. Apparently, you can actually encounter Erin in Lindblum Grand Castle not long after you first arrive and Zidane will try to hit on her. Still, even with that correction, nobody got that one right.
For 4000 gil...
What is the name of the married moogle couple, the male of which is "Kupo for Kupo Nuts!" Is it:
A.) Mogriffin and Noggy
B.) Mogmi and Moguta
C.) Moonte and Serino
D.) Mocha and Chimomo
I remember these two moogles, but cannot recall the names.
I will use the Ask the Audience please.
Agent0042
11-26-2006, 10:02 PM
Ask the Audience is no longer available, remember? I junked it because people wouldn't follow the rules. It was replaced with Switch the Question. You can use that, or 50:50, or Phone a Friend if you like.
Oops.
Totally forgot about that.
Hmm, I will use the 50:50.
Agent0042
11-27-2006, 12:09 AM
Okay, 50:50 it is. Let's take away two of the wrong answers, leaving one wrong answer and the correct answer...
B.) Mogmi and Moguta
D.) Mocha and Chimomo
It has to be,
B.) Mogmi and Moguta
Agent0042
11-27-2006, 12:50 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
Yeah, it has to be. I guess you correctly ascertained that Mocha and Chimomo are two of the Madain Sari moogles and therefore aren't the married couple?
You're playing for 8000 gil now. If you get this right, you gain access to the Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. lifeline. So, for 8000 gil...
Which of the following is not said by Zidane? Is it:
A.) I guess there's no way to stop you.
B.) You don't have to be so formal.
C.) No... You see, uh, he looks really sinister, and uh...
D.) Who would buy this crap?
yikes.
I am horrible with quotes. I will Ask Google.
Agent0042
11-27-2006, 01:33 AM
Oh no, sorry, I guess I didn't explain that entirely clearly. You don't have ASk Google yet. You get it if you get this question right. You can use Switch the Question or you can Phone a Friend if you like.
Haha oh geez I am pretty bad at using lifelines.
Alright, I will use the Phone a Friend and I will call Xander. He seems to have a good knowledge of the game.
Agent0042
11-27-2006, 03:19 AM
Okay, Phone a Friend is now active. The good folks at Allied Final Fantasy Communications will get Xander on the line. I'll send him a PM and he'll have 24 hours to respond. I'll then report back in this thread with a summary of his response.
Agent0042
11-27-2006, 10:35 PM
Joey, Xander has gone with answer C.) No... You see, uh, he looks really sinister, and uh...
He said it's the only one he can't remember him saying. He didn't seem very certain though, and he said that if it's wrong, he's sorry. You can still Switch the Question if you feel you're in over your head on this one and might want to try your luck on another question.
Hmm, I really have no clue so I will see if I get lucky or not.
That answer seemed most logical to me so I will go with
C.) No... You see, uh, he looks really sinister, and uh...
Agent0042
11-28-2006, 05:36 AM
<font color="red">Wrong</font>
Really sorry about that, Joey. Wish we could have continued longer. I'll explain the quotes more fully now and place them in their full context:
A.) Zidane: Kuja might destroy this castle at any minute. Get out of here while you can. Go on, Vivi. Don't worry about me. Someday, you'll probably do the same thing for someone who's really important to you. Dagger is more important to me than anything else.
Amarant: Man, you make me sick. I'm outta here. Next time you wanna play hero, don't even bother calling me. Later...
Freya: I guess there's no way to stop you. But remember, this is not just your war, so don't even think about fighting Kuja now. As soon as you find Dagger, leave.
So A.) was the correct answer.
And the others...
B.) Crew Member: Excuse me! Please let me know if you'd like to switch out your party members! I shall assist you in any way that I can during your journey.
Zidane: You don't have to be so formal. Let's just relax and enjoy our flight.
C.) Zidane: Hi. Have you seen a strange-looking guy here? He goes by the name of Kuja...
Robert Dogherder: ...Ye're strange-lookin'...
Zidane: No... You see, uh, he looks really sinister, and uh...
Robert Dogherder: ...Ye're sinister-lookin'...
D.) Zidane: What a cheesy suit of armor... Who would buy this crap?
Well, Joey, you leave with 1000 gil and thanks for playing.
And now, our next Fastest Finger question...
Place the following Shrines in the order in which you visit them / drop off characters...
A.) Wind Shrine

Well, we've got noon in the Hot Seat now. noon just joined us here on the Shrine this month, but has decided he'd like to test his mettle by playing the FFIX Millionaire.
I'm assuming you know about the rules and the lifelines, and if not, it's all talked about back in the first post in the thread. Let's play!

Queen Brahne is the one you're looking to impress. Well, so far you're doing all right. You're playing for 1000 gil now and if you get this right, you can't leave with less than that. So let's see the 1000 gil question...

Which of the following is not an optional boss-ish battle in this game? Is it:
C.) Omega Weapon
D.) Ozma
Agent0042
11-29-2006, 05:08 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
Omega Weapon doesn't put in an appearance in this game --- Ozma is generally considered to the toughest optional boss, although Quale and Hades are both pretty tough as well.
Well, you had to use a lifeline to do it, but you reached the 1000 gil level, which means you can't leave with less than that. You're now ten questions away from one million gil. Let's keep going for 2000 gil...
Cinna is a big fan of what delicacy from South Gate that got him in trouble with Baku? Is it:
A.) funnel cake

Trying again for 8000 gil...
Which of the following teaches the Madeen summon to Eiko? Is it:
A.) Maiden's Perfume

Perfectly okay --- rules say you have up to 48 hours to respond. Well, it looks like the Switch the Question worked out well for you. And now that you've reached the 8000 gil mark, you have access to one of the exciting new lifelines --- Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc.. If you decide to use this, you can just go ahead and use it. Just let me know that you used it when you answer the question. To use this lifeline, all you have to do is go find yourself a document such as a script or FAQ at one of those sites to consult. Just look through the menus / search of what they have available and I only ask that once you decide on one, you don't consult any others.
So, for 16000 gil...

And for reaching 16000 gil, you've gained the Double Dip lifeline. That means that you can choose two answer choices and if either is correct, then you continue on. Again, if you use this, just give me the two answers and say that you've chosen to Double Dip.
So, for 32000 gil...
Besides Vivi, what is the number of the central Black Mage character in this game --- the one that tells Vivi "you already know what it means to live...and to die" and is one of only three who stays behind when the others go with Kuja (the other two being the ones that stay behind to look after the chocobo egg.)

Okay, it looks like we currently have Ceidwad_yr_Arfau, Kailas and Enya on the panel. I will dash off a PM to all three of them letting them know that the panel is active again. Oh --- and if anyone's reading that would be interested in joining the panel and hasn't already been on it, just send me a PM detailing why you think you'd qualify and you might get to be on it for an upcoming game.

Grandma Pickle and Baku, although it is because of something instigated by Quina. You see, that scene is triggered by an earlier Active Time Event --- No Free Lunch. Quina eats one of Grandma's pickles without paying. If you go to her as Zidane during a particular point, Grandma will want the money to take care of the pickle. Now, normally, as long as Zidane has the gil, that's the end of it. But if by some chance Zidane has zero gil or something, he says that Baku will take care of it. That's what trigger's "Give Me My Money."
Grandma Pickle: One of your boys, Zidane, told me to collect the money he owes me from you. His friend ate one of my pickles without paying.
Baku: WHAT!? Why do I gotta pay!?
Grandma Pickle: He said you'd take care of it. That'll be 100 Gil.
Baku: I'm gonna wring his neck!
Well, you've earned 125000 gil. You're playing for 250000 gil now. If you answer and get this wrong, you'll only leave with 32000 gil, so keep that in mind before deciding on whether or not to answer. Of course, you wouldn't want to walk away with a lifeline still on the table and you can still Ask the Experts if you need to.
So, for 250000 gil...
Which Cid developed the first Mist-powered engine? He also had a pet-cat, which popularized the cat as a pet among engineers in Lindblum.
Was that Cid...
A.) Cid IX
B.) Cid V
C.) Cid VIII
D.) Cid XII
Wowww, Im gana have to ask the experts on this, Im Clueless...

noon --- stand by. I just received a PM from Ceidwad that he is no longer available for the panel. I will send this off to the two other panel members for the time being and in the meantime, I'll consult and see if I can pull in a third panel member.
Edit: FF1WithAllThieves agreed to sign on. I am sending him the info now.
Agent0042
12-06-2006, 12:14 AM
noon --- I'm pleased to tell you that the difficulties with the panel have been worked out, at least for the time being anyway. However, I'm not sure you're going to like the results...
Enya was the first to report back. She gave me the answer C. Cid VIII. She said that she can always remember the date this particular Cid died, sometime around the 1780s and by using the eight in the "80s," she remembers the number of the Cid.
Kailas reported in with B.) Cid V. However, he indicated that this was a very bad question for him and he's not at all certain of that answer.
FF1WithAllThieves opted for D.) Cid XII. He said that he remembers it being the Cid just before the current one, which is Cid XIII.
Well, there you have it. You can go with one of those answers, or you can go on your own with A.) Cid IX. You can also choose to walk away with what you have right now. Remember, if you miss, you drop back down to 32000 gil. But if you get this, you'll have 250000 gil and you'll be just two questions away from 1 million gil.
Enya seemed to have the most detailed answer, but FF1WithAllThieves seemed fairly certain too. So it may be a gamble.
lol I think ill take what I got.
And go home.
Or w/e
But My Guess is C. Cid VIII.
Agent0042
12-06-2006, 02:37 AM
All right, thanks so much for playing noon. The correct answer would have been C. Cid VIII, so you would have been right. But with no other lifelines and remaining and the results of the panel so conflicting, I'm not surprised you chose to walk away. FF1WithAllThieves --- if you were reading, not sure what you were thinking, but I checked it against the script and the answer on this one is definitely Cid VIII.
Well, noon leaves with 125000 gil and my thanks. Let's continue now and try another Fastest Finger question...
Place these Active Time Events (both optional and mandatory) in the order in which the appear in the game, starting with the earliest...
A.) Everyday Life
B.) Recovery
C.) My Little Baby
D.) To Fly High
lol yeah
FF1WithAllThieves opted for D.) Cid XII. He said that he remembers it being the Cid just before the current one, which is Cid XIII.
That Didnt make much sence, because The mist powered Engine Has been around for Awhile...

Let's see who got it right and in the fastest time... Chrissss, come on over to the Hot Seat!
dramatic, exciting music plays
Agent0042: Well, we're welcoming Chrissss to the game now. Chrissss joined us just back in October, but has already become reasonably popular on the Shrine. At just 19 years old, he lists his occupation as "Retired" and his interests include "music" and "alcohol."
Well, I'm guessing you know about the rules and the lifelines, including the still fairly new Switch the Question lifeline that replaces Ask the Audience, so let's get started!
For 100 gil...
Whose name does Zidane initially forget (or at least pretend to forget anyway) at a cafe in Lindblum, causing him to call her such names as Rachel and Helga? Is that:
A.) Eiko
B.) Freya
C.) Dagger
D.) Queen Brahne
Chrissss
12-07-2006, 09:19 PM
Its cool to finally be doing one of these.
I beleive the answer is Freya.

Chrissss

Agent0042
12-08-2006, 12:09 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
Marcus being the just-so-slightly harder one to figure out there. Okay, well, you've won 500 gil. If you get this next one right, you can't leave with less than 1,000 gil. You also still have all of your lifelines.
For 1,000 gil...
Which of the following is not a boss from the game?
A.) Gizamaluke
B.) Twitchtip
C.) Maliris
D.) Soulcage
Chrissss
12-08-2006, 02:19 AM
Pretty sure thats B, Twitchtip.
Agent0042
12-08-2006, 04:43 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily expect anyone here to recognize that name, but Twitchtip is a character in a series of books called Gregor the Overlander.
Well, you've reached the 1000 gil mark, which means you can't leave with less than that. You still have all your lifelines and as long as you keep doing well, you'll eventually start earning some additional lifelines.
Let's continue now for 2000 gil...
""I...I am empty now... Free... Free...of that...terrible... greed..."
This is said by...
A.) Kuja
B.) Garland
C.) Queen Brahne
D.) Necron
Chrissss
12-08-2006, 04:50 AM

A.) Marcus and Baku
B.) Zenero and Genero
C.) Cinna and Blank
D.) Ruby and Zidane
Chrissss

:) Got lucky on that one then. Baku is pretty memorable (and funny) isn't he?
Well, you're playing for 8000 gil now. If you get this one right, you gain access to the Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. lifeline. More about that later...
Now, for 8000 gil...
Which of these is not an actual Quina blue magic?
Is that...
A.) Degenerator
B.) 1000 Needles
C.) Doom
D.) Twister

12-08-2006, 06:04 AM

Its Degenerator. That was one of Quistis' I remember. I was torn between that and Twister.
Agent0042
12-08-2006, 06:07 AM

Which of these is not an actual Quina blue magic?

Hey, no problem. If you need help, probably better to ask for it. Doesn't cost me anything. :)
Well, you've reached 8000 gil, which means you now have the Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. lifeline. Here's a quick refresh on how that works --- if you decide to use it, then you can search through Google, etc., for a page or document that you think will help you answer the question. I only ask that once you decide on the document you want (based on the title / file-size, etc.) you stick with that document and not consult any others. If you choose to use this, just go ahead and use it and let me know when you answer the question.
So, now for 16000 gil...
When Cid is a frog and has to get the Hourglass Key, he overhears a conversation between two Black Mages in which they talk about whether or not what they're doing is wrong. "Say... I reset the hourglass and locked it because I was ordered to. What we're doing is wrong, isn't it?" "Wait. Isn't that better than to stop functioning?"
What were the numbers of these two Black Mages?
Is that...
A.) 111 and 144
B.) 133 and 288
C.) 33 and 288
D.) 12 and 69
Chrissss
12-08-2006, 07:03 AM
I just got through that and Oilvert, that would be 12 and 69.

Lucky again! And you just go another new lifeline too. You may now Double Dip. By using this lifeline, you can select two answer choices. If either is right, you continue. If you use this, you again don't have to let me know in advance. Just go ahead and use it and say that you're using it.
Well, you've quite quickly reached 16000 gil. You're now playing for 32000 gil, another milestone level. If you get this, you can't leave with less than that. For 32000 gil...
The Moogle letter "My Vagabond Life" is a communication from who to who and regarding what...
A.) Moogri to Monev, regarding Mognet
B.) Stiltzkin to Kupo, regarding Mognet
C.) Stiltzkin to Kupo, regarding starting a new journey
D.) Stiltzkin to Kuppo, reminiscing a past journey
P.S. --- if you catch this edit, this is going to be the last question for now, though I won't rule out the possibility of another question if you're still on, oh say, a couple hours or so.
Chrissss
12-08-2006, 07:43 AM
I think Ill have to ask you to switch the question. I have vague ideas of what this could be, but nothing solid. I was thinking A or D,but those are really just guesses, lol.
Agent0042
12-08-2006, 06:35 PM
Okay, you've opted to Switch the Question. First, let's clear up the previous question. The correct answer was C.) --- that this was a communication from Stiltzkin to Kupo regarding a new journey. He said that he likes Alexandria, but he's been bit by the travel bug again.
Trying once again for 32000 gil with a new question...
What are the names of the two Watchmen who block the entrance to the path to Madain Sari / The Iifa Tree in Conde Petie? You have to at least have Zidane and Dagger/Garnet be married in order to get past them. Are those two...
A.) David and Peter Watchman
B.) Joseph and Lewis Watchman
C.) Matthew and Richard Watchman
D.) Wayne and Robert Watchman
Remember, you still have several other lifelines available at the moment if you need more help.
Chrissss
12-09-2006, 12:37 AM
I remember the name Matthew, so Ill go with C, Matthew and Richard. Im not so sure about Richard though...
Agent0042
12-09-2006, 05:56 AM
<font color="red">Correct</font>
Matthew and Richard Watchman it is. David is David Heavenguard --- he was the priest who did the marriage. Robert is also in Conde Petie, but his name is Robert Dogherder.
Well, you've reached the 32000 gil level, which means you can't leave with less than that. You've used two lifelines, so you've still got some pretty good help left. Let's go on to another new question...
For 64000 gil, five away from the million...
Which of the following images is not from an FMV in Final Fantasy IX?
Is that...
A.)
B.)
C.)
D.)
This just in --- breaking news --- Chrissss has informed me that he will be AFK until around Sunday evening or so. So his position will be held until that time and he may answer the question at that time, or use a lifeline. Until then, please enjoy the following word from our sponsor...

Chrissss
12-11-2006, 06:18 AM

So if you're ready, let's move on for 125000 gil...
Why is the Synthesis Shop in Black Mage Village known as the Black Cat Synthesis shop?
A.) The owner of the shop has several black cats and is extremely fond of them. He decided to call the shop that in honor of them.
B.) The owner wanted to call it "Black Mage and Cats' Synthesis Shop," since he has a cat, but was told that "Black Cat Synthesis Shop" sounds better.
C.) The shop is named the Black Cat Synthesis Shop in honor of the owner's cat, who passed away, or "stopped" to use their terms.
D.) There is no reason, it's just a cool name.

Let's see what's on tap for 25000 gil...
Which of the following is the correct chain when it comes to delivering letters to restore Mognet? Is that:
A.) Kupo to Atla, Atla to Mogryo, Mogryo to Kumool, Kumool to Mois, Mois to Noggy, Noggy to Kupo
B.) Mois to Kupo, Kupo to Kumool, Kumool to Mogryo, Mogryo to Atla, Atla to Kupo
C.) Mogryo to Kuppo, Kuppo to Monev, Monev to Stiltzkin, Stiltzkin to Mogtapa, Mogtapa to Mogri
D.) Kupo to Mogri, Mogri to Mogryo, Mogryo to Kumool, Kumool to Mogtapa, Mogtapa to Kupo

(edit)are there still trivia threads? or did the millionaire games take their place?

12-13-2006, 03:46 AM
Okay, you have chosen to Ask the Experts. I will get a PM out to each of our experts. They will have up to 24 hours to respond and then I will report the results back here at the thread. You may choose to use another lifeline or answer at any time before I have reported back, however, if you do, you forfeit the lifeline.

Chrissss --- we have a problem. Panel-member Enya's private-message box is full. We can do one of several things --- you can save the lifeline for later and try a different one for now, we can send this to just the other two members, we can wait for Enya to get that cleaned out, I can try to find another panel member, or you can try to answer this without any lifelines.
Chrissss
12-13-2006, 04:11 AM
just sending it to the other two members is fine.
Agent0042
12-13-2006, 04:31 AM
Okay, I'll do that then, and then if Enya gets that sorted before they respond / you answer, I'll send it to her too.
Ketevan
12-13-2006, 02:03 PM
I had only just noticed it was full. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm sure the other two votes are/were substantial.
However, if you still want to send me a PM Agent, that's fine with me.
Agent0042
12-14-2006, 12:12 AM
No worries, Enya.
Okay, Chrissss, all members of the panel have reported in. Joey was the first to respond. Joey was the first to report back and said he's 99% sure the answer on this is A.) Kupo to Atla, Atla to Mogryo, Mogryo to Kumool, Kumool to Mois, Mois to Noggy, Noggy to Kupo. Enya was in next and commented that she's eliminating C.) because she doesn't think Stiltzkin generally participates in exchanging of letters. She said A.) also looks correct to her, but it's just a guess. Finally, FF1WithAllThieves did not provide an answer, but also said that he's eliminating C.).
So it would seem that the panel is strongly leaning towards A.) and has eliminated C.). You can choose to go with the panel, go on your own with a different answer, or use another lifeline.
Chrissss
12-14-2006, 03:52 AM
Hate to risk it like this but Ill save the other lifelines and go with A then (not that I dont trust you Joey)...crosses fingers

And I see that you changed your username. I'll make the appropriate updates.
Well, you've really gotten farther here than anyone has before. Ceidwad had 250000 gil, but he also ran out of lifelines. You still have three excellent ones left. I think you stand an awesome chance at winning this.
But you're not out of the woods yet. You've got two questions left and they're going to be tough.
For 500000 gil...
Which of the following is an actual track on the Final Fantasy IX Original Sound Track Plus album? Is it:
A.) The Dreams in Our Hearts
B.) Place of Memory
C.) Ghost Ship
D.) Arrival of the Black Mages

Well, it's already been mentioned before somewhere in here. It's not like it's a new rule, really. Almond Joy, if you really feel I'm pulling something out of the blue here, I can go ahead and let you make the call. But if not, then could you choose someone else, please?
Chrissss
12-14-2006, 10:44 PM
OK, Ill direct the phone a friend at Prak, aka Jolly Rancher. He likes the game and seems to be a fairly knowledgeable guy.
Agent0042
12-14-2006, 11:22 PM
Okay, thanks. The good folks at Allied Final Fantasy Communications will get Prak / Jolly Rancher on the line. He'll have up to 24 hours to get that sent in to me and then I'll get that posted here.
Wow good thing I cannot be phoned because I have no idea on this one!
Good luck taking the million Almond.
Agent0042
12-15-2006, 02:05 PM
Almond Joy --- Prak / Jolly Rancher has reported back, but the news isn't good. He said that music is his weakest area. He says if he had to wager a guess, he'd go with B.) Place of Memory only because he can place it in context. He says that he doesn't think it's C.) or D.) but A.) seems plausible. He does emphasize though that he could have helped with something gameplay related, but was a bad person to call for music.
If you're still shaky on this one, you can use another lifeline. You can use Ask Google/GameFAQs/FFShrine Main Site/etc. and you can Double Dip. The first might be a better choice if you're worried about Jolly Rancher / Prak's answer. The second is probably better only if you have your own instinct.
But, of course, it's up to you. I can't really say either way which is the best choice. You can also choose to accept the answer without any further help, or go with one of your own without using another lifeline. And there's always the option of walking away, but I would not recommend that with lifelines on the table.
Chrissss
12-15-2006, 10:34 PM
This is kinda risky, but I think Ill risk it and Double Dip answers A and B.
Agent0042
12-15-2006, 11:54 PM
Okay, you have opted to Double Dip.
A.) The Dreams in Our Hearts ... <font color="red">Wrong</font>
B.) Place of Memory ... <font color="red">Wrong</font>
No, I'm sorry, Almond Joy. The correct answer was C.) Ghost Ship. It's Track 22 on Disc 1 of the Soundtrack Plus album. I would have recommended going with the Ask FFShrine/GameFAQs/Google lifeline --- you probably could have gotten it pretty quickly from that.
Place of Memory is a track on the original soundtrack album. The Dreams in Our Hearts and Arrival of the Black Mages are made-up titles.
Well, I'm sorry. You played well, but you leave with 32,000 gil.
Now, for those ready-and-raring for their shot at one million gil, here is your next Fastest Finger question...
Unscramble the following character names and then place them in alphabetical order:
