THAT'S NOT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER
There have been people saying I will replace Universe Powerglide with this new movie one. Ok, I know the Universe one is too big if you're hellbent on him being a "mini-bot" but god damn it don't replace him with a movie toy :(
PS Collect the world, Transformers: SCARFACE
Powerglide looks like Krauser in that pic.
Broken Merc fun, here we come.

I like the look of the new powerglide. getting things roughly in scale is always good but sometimes it's imposable. Plus things kinda mass change. Look at the movies; Bumble Bee in car mode doesn't have enough stuff to him, especially with passenger, trunk, & open engine space for as big as he is in robot mode.

So the mini ones are just a part of the big set? That's disappointing. I wouldn't mind getting one of the smaller sets, though, I'll have to see what they're like. Not familiar with KRE-O at all.

Maybe they'll have the little guys in their own sets eventually. The Mega Block Halo dudes are sold in little bags now and Lego does it as well, so they could copy that.
Marceline
02-13-2011, 10:03 PM
That would be awesome! If they came in some of the smaller building sets, I'd be willing to spring for that, too. Big building sets aren't really my thing, though. I like small things I can build and take apart over and over.
That Bumblebee looks pretty good, though. And he has MISSILE LAUNCHIN' too.
Missile launching is awesome, suck it haters~ ;)

It all depends on things. Ya see hasbro has exclusive US rights to sell star wars "figures" so Lego can't just sell individual star wars lego guys, they have to sell figure heavy mini vehicles as a building set.

Remember zbots Megabot in the other thread? She has probably the best missile launchers ever. They fly far, don't go off at random, & are strong enough to knock stuff over but not enough to break anything.

WARNING THIS POST IS A RANT.
What do you mean that is the reason that the michael bay movies are soo good? Apart from having Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime in the cartoon), they were laughable. First, Bumblebee as a warrior? He's a SCOUT/SPY!!! He is the weakest of all the Autobots, not a damn robot Undertaker etc....
THIS is Bumblebee:
http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/images/csbumblebee.jpg
NOT this:
He is just slightly bigger than a human in size, NOT towering over them like a full sized Autobot!!
Bloody Michael Bay not wanting a VW Beetle in his movie or to have Mass Displacement when the Transformers go from one form to the other. Look at Soundwave? His alternate form on Cybertron was a communications tower, while on Earth was a tapedeck. What is he in the Bayformers? A frikkin Satellite!!
Then... Devastator... That THING in Revenge of the Fallen is NOT Devastator!!!
THIS IS DEVASTATOR:
NOT THIS:
... and to end my rant... rjmno1....
Your post...
:grammar:
That is all.
I should do a post like this about Shinkenger XD
I do like some of the bayformer designs. I mean, shit, I own several, after all. Doesn't mean the movies weren't utter shite. That said, there is going to be a generation of folks for whom Bayformers are their G1.

To each their own I guess. Speaking as a Gen 1 fan who grew up with the original cartoon/comics/toys... seeing what has become of a beloved childhood memory is blasphemous. True some of the designs may be nice and all... I'm just Gen 1 through and through, and will always be that way.
I'm far more a Geeeewuner than almost anything else, probably too because of my age. Animated is my favorite line and series, but to be perfectly fair I haven't watched Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy, R.i.D., or any of the Japanese series.
I can only comment on the aesthetics and engineering of the toys.

Still... even the Gen 1 toys are better than some of the newer ones. Some examples:
Fortress Maximus:
Metroplex:
Devastator:
Grimlock:
etc etc etc
The Gen 1 toys hold much more sentimental value to me... specially considering what Decepticons I'm getting later today (I'll post pics in the Latest purchase thread when I have them).
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
02-18-2011, 01:41 AM
Really depends on the definition of better, which will vary from person to person. Even though they moonlight as collectibles, toys like Transformers are still sold with the intention of being played with. Though the combination itself is fun, something like G1 Devastator and it's components can only stand around and must be handled carefully, but a combiner like, say, Rail Racer from 2000's Car Robots/Robots in Disguise is a good bit more versatile and sturdy. I have a nostalgic hard on for G1 also, and while I'm not the type that will say it's toys "sucked" because they couldn't move around/needed stickers/weren't always show accurate and so on, I'd say in terms of what makes a toy something that's truly fun to play with, made to stand up to kid abuse, and a good recreation of it's source material, the newer stuff tends to hit the mark more accurately. However, I do think the G1 toys are good for the time, especially when their origins are fully considered, and as pieces of nostalgia they're great.

Bayformers mostly makes me mad because I want a good live action Transformers movie that is actually a Transformers movie, not an action comedy about humans with the occasional giant robot thrown in. Dislike most of the designs too, but that's just my personal preferences.

So thanks to Ktulu I know what this thing is :) I think I've decided I wanna do something with it though. I'm gonna open it up and find the part that makes the 'robot' sound and remove it from the speaker. If it can't be removed, then I'll just replace the speaker altogether. I'll have to go to electronics store and get a double ended cable.......... I'll make it a speaker that I can hook up to my mp3 player :)
I got it working now :) Ah mono! Such a throwback! I love it. Sounds like my old tape recorder. Yes mp3s in mono! ^____^ Somehow I lost the 2 screws that go in the back though =/ *grumbles as I try to find them* It'll probably fall apart when I least expect it now..........

Scraplets were first introduced in the old Marvel comics. I can admire the attempt to reintroduce established parts of "the lore", but they were rather silly to begin with. I think the writers could have gone with something a little less throw-away. I know not every episode can be some plot-heavy epic though.

That carries over from the first Bay film, which has the same writers.
To be fair, part of the cartoon backstory of the Skyfire/Jetfire character was that he ended up frozen on Earth before everyone else got there later, so in "Transformers logic" I guess it's not that horribly out of place.

I've just read some crazy nerdy shit trying to explain it scientifically. It basically boils down to ice or moisture not being an issue while the way temperature and heat transfer differs in our atmosphere vs. space is. The "space is cold" idea is so widely accepted that showing space-robutts freezing in the snow will probably always throw people off though. Same discussions came up with Megatron freezing in the first Bay movie.

Perceptor is the IDW one there too, so...
It's looking like Windcharger may not actually get released at retail the US, along with the G1 Legends. If Windcharger is canceled, that probably means the Rumble/Frenzy scouts will be as well considering those were a later wave. Fucking dog biscuits, man. There's been a hardcore drought of newer stuff going on, and many assume it's because stores are ordering up the DOTM figures and saying AH FUCK NAH to Generations and "Reveal the Shield."
Windcharger looks like a damn sexy pile of plastic too:
In a crazy twist, he's readily available in the UK. I guess I might end up having to bum one from someone over there. Goddamn international shipping. You guys know all about that though.
Edit - this may well extend to making toys like Wreck-Gar and other newer RtS and newer Generations ultimately pretty tough to find. Glad I went ahead and bought some of this stuff on Amazon or HTS when I could.
If you're not concerned about the packaging, I'd wager you could get him shipped for less than $5. From a person, not a store, obviously.
He's about the size of a Gaia Memory, I would think.

Now that he's got this "omg rare" buzz (which he already had even before) a lot of people that have one (and many that had access to them have hoarded them) will want to jack up the price, but I'm sure there will still be a few willing to sell them at cost. I'll get one somehow I'm sure. HTS still has their listing, but it's naturally been "sold out" for some time. Hasbro will likely want to get whatever they produced out. That might mean it becoming a BBTS exclusive, HTS exclusive, or even sent out to stores like Ross and Marshalls. They did that with a lot of G.I. Joe vehicles. The support from the likes of Wal-Mart just isn't there. So for now, a lot of people are like OH GOD, OH GOD and those that have them from the UK to sell could easily cash in on that.
Rumble and Frenzy were already released in Japan, but the run is apparently over, and the eBay listings are pretty hardcore right now.
Wal-Mart doesn't even carry G.I. Joes in any capacity anymore. I've heard things like "action figures are dying in the US" and what not. Probably exaggerated, but it's interesting stuff.

The Walmarts close-ish to me have pathetic toy sections now. Lots of pre-school toys, but everything else is so condensed and just a mess. It's hard to even find Maisto bikes now. The Walmart where I actually find stuff still has a huge toy section, though. Target is pretty good too, even if they haven't had much in the way of DCUC lately.
Wonder how good the online market is for American adult collector stuff. I know I generally will try and find something on shelf rather than get it online if that's available to me.

Not just mine, but most (from what I've read.)
On Windcharger...the lone Amazon listing from "ToyWiz" has shot up in price over the last few days. It started at about 40 bucks. Now it's up to 80.
Remember how we were wondering if the little Lego-like TF dudes would get individual releases? In the latest TF Collector Club mag, they said there are no plans for that now :( That doesn't mean it won't happen though. Answers like that were initially given about several toys that were ultimately released.

Hrm. Garren and Momo need a throne.
Protector Armor, remove thyself at once. Eh, they're probably way too big for it to work.
Cleaning my room, so some TF thoughts since I had to transform some:
Even if the new color scheme is hideous for DOTM Skids, I can't fault them for wanting to simplify the transformation. The twins are nothing but trouble every single time and I know EXACTLY how to transform them. Can't imagine kids dealing with that.
Movie 1 Ratchet is pretty flawed, but I still have an affection for him. He's fine if you're looking for a fixed piece. You just can't put kibble behind the knees.
YOU CAN'T FUCKING DO THAT
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
04-16-2011, 11:28 AM
I didn't think Ratchet was terrible looking as a toy. The design was kinda simplified, so it ended up beefier in some places, something the movie stuff kinda needs.
Yeah, he looks quite nice, ESPECIALLY if you have the Rescue repaint, like I do. Just can't be horribly dynamic with him. The flaws I'm talking about are mainly transformation gripes that coincide with the knee kibble, and the way the doors peg in. As a completed bot or vehicle he's really good.
Leader Bulks is still the bee's knees. Aside from that cop-out on hiding his head. But, they gave use the transformation noise in direct return for it.

Prime is ok so far but I'm not loving it. It doesn't have nearly as much personality as Animated and the three kids are too involved in the action for my taste. The youngest kid can understand Bumblebee and is better with computers than Ratchet...I really don't enjoy that. The thing I hate most is that it's so barren. There's never anything going on in the backgrounds and they're almost always in some desert. Not a lot of atmosphere. The episode about scraplets probably had the most personality so far, but at the same time the Autobots all look pathetic in it. It's not a total facepalm-fest but I'm not terribly into it either. At the very least, I do like it better than the live action stuff.
Well it doesn't take much to be better than live action~

I feel like a lot of cartoons nowadays are focusing on kids, compared to the ones back in the geezer days. I mean, lots of stuff had the one kid character we were supposed to relate to, but now it seems like kid characters drive the action the majority of the time and there aren't very many awesome, older larger than life characters, unless the show is made from an existing property.
I think there are a lot of good cartoons out nowadays! Just an interesting observation.

Are you giving away your comics? For some reason this makes me sad. ; ;
There were some that were in such poor condition I threw them out, some I gave to my brother. The rest of them yeah. You could certainly have them for cost of shipping if you want them. There's not much there though. Some Simon Furman TFs and Spider-Girl, everything else is really just shit I don't know why the hell I bought.
When I get around to it I'm going to put all my TFs up for grabs at cost of shipping in this thread too.

That some went to your brother makes me feel a little better. ^^ As long as they have a good home! I'll definitely take comics off your hands for the cost of shipping. I'm especially interested in Spider-Girl.
They're all Amazing, and not a complete run because I didn't buy all of them due to having them in trades. Oh except also a couple of the 4 part Spectacular which I bought because I was trying to help save her, but then when it was confirmed she was over I figured I'd just get the trade anyway. I'll check what I have. Hey how do you package comics normally for shipping? Are they safe enough in a bubble wrap envelope?
Marceline
04-22-2011, 05:15 AM
I don't mind not having complete runs! Can download the issues I'm missing while I'm reading. I kind of like having gaps so that I have specific issues to look for when I go through old comic piles.
When I get comics from my subscription service that's all they do, yeah. Should be fine that way. Let me know your paypal and how much you need and I'll send it your way and give you my address.
ok I think I am missing a substantial stuff that I'm pretty sure I didn't get rid of, but I probably did and am just silly or something! But there's a good amount of stuff here that's worth having.
Spider-Girl I have roughly 14-30 so it's about half the run of amazing, but I'm missing 29 for some reason. Also: I forgot about this and it screwed me up when organizing them, but they misprinted issue 19 as 17. I have 1 and 2 of Spectacular (there were only 4.)
I don't know what happened to some of my TF comics, but I think I have all the Spotlight issues, which are what you should really read. It's so cool to see Furman's alternate takes on classic characters up close.
For the main series, I have all of Stormbringer, Escalation, and Devastation. I'm missing all my issues of Infiltration for reasons I can't recall and I never bought Revalation because I decided to wait for the trade on that one. The order they came out is Infiltration/Stormbringer/Escalation/Devastation/Revelation but chronologically Infiltration and Stormbringer should be switched. Stormbringer is actually really skippable, it's just backstory and is kind of boring. The others are pretty worth reading though.
I have several All Hail Megatron issues, but never got them all because I hated it. I'm actually surprised I didn't drop it sooner than I did. You read all these carefully planned Furman stories, and then a new writer comes in and basically undoes most of what he established and reverts the characters to mostly-G1 portrayals. It's pretty infuriating. Do not recommend.
I have 2 issues of Megatron Origins, which also was not written by Furman but at least doesn't conflict with his universe too badly. It's one of the worst put together books I've ever read though, the panels are just one indistinguishable mess after another and the writing is shoddy. Also do not recommend.
Also have 1-4 of Beast Wars: The Ascending. The Gathering should be read first. If you want these I can send you my trade of the gathering too because I don't really care for them. They're not bad, but they feel like fanfiction... like they're trying to write about events that are just as big as what happened in actual BW, but it's like they are happening in a separate reality (in fact in The Gathering they sort of ARE even...) so as not to mess with the already established story. Kinda meh.
Issues 1 and 3 of Maximum Dinobots. What happened to 2? The world may never know. This is a decent continuation of Furman's stories by him, but by the time they were coming out I was cutting my comics purchasing to save money and I was so pissed about the main TF story being All Hail Megatron that I was just soured on IDW transformers altogether, so I never got around to buying the rest of these.
Also possibly of interest: 1-10 of Echo. If you're not already in love with Terry Moore you will be if you read this. :D
A few Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, which I got due to Terry Moore writing. They're sort of blah, but cute.
2 issues of Ghost Whisperer that I bought for the covers.
1-6 of Totem. This was a really cool series I stumbled on by accident, but I think the publisher was having financial troubles because they just came to a screeching halt after a while. I never found out if the series went on because I got out of comics before I saw any more issues. But these are worth reading. The writing's kind of all over the place, but the concept is cool enough that it saves it: basically a teenage hero who is given powers by the angel Gabriel as part of a competition between god and the devil. He's required to use his powers to help people and never once for anything selfish, and if he successfully does so until I forget what, his parents are saved from being damned.
Other than that it's a bunch of odds and ends consisting of totally blah X-Men and Spider-Man issues, some bad Usagi Yojimbo (they're newer ones, I think he's just doing it to do it here... they suck), and probably some other crap I'm forgetting. It would be an awful lot of envelopes to send all this so you may want to cherry-pick, hence why I bothered to write it out. But if you want 'em all, they're all yours.
---------- Post added at 05:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 AM ----------
also, Devastation has my all time favorite bad guy speech in it:
"Much as I applaud your efforts to do me harm, I should point out that my armature was forged from metals drawn from the compacted subatomic matter of a collapsed star, and my power core is self-regenerating dark matter fission sell, hermetically sealed."
The best part is he just blathers all this right in the middle of fighting five Autobots

I don't think I've ever come across a Solar Storm Grappel.
On another note, I've been able to snag four new figures. FINALLY found Wheeljack & Warpath. I like both of these bots. They have nice vehicle modes along with well designed robot ones too. Kind of sad that I had to pay $25.83 in total for the two. I guess it's worth it since I won't be buying much from DOTM.
Now the other two figures I also manage to snag are both DOTM ones. I got Voyager class Megatron & Deluxe Roadbuster. I've only mess with Megatron so far. I enjoy the hobo look immensely. Kind of sucks that on the packaging Hasbro decided to use the prototype picture instead of the finished product. When you compare the two side by side, I like the jungle green cloak better than the default gray one. Plus it covers the left arm instead of the right. Whatever the case it's still a nice figure. Still debating if I want to open Roadbuster or not. Kind of bought it on an impulse. Thinking if I really want a Nascar bot.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
05-10-2011, 07:33 PM
Warpath and Wheeljack are not easy to get right now. I have yet to find a Warpath either. Since a lot of people are paying high because of the worry the DOTM toys will come and keep them from ever showing up, I'd say that price for both of them is pretty good right now.
DOTM Roadbuster is truly interesting for a movie-bot. The proportions are humanoid, he avoids being monochromatic, and the face isn't bug-like or monstrous. It's a miracle.
Here's the next Masterpiece - a smaller Optimus/Convoy:
Why are they doing that? Probably to combat the smaller version of the original made by a third party company. Since it's an all new sculpt it trumps them there too. I'm not sure I like the design as much as the original - yet, but eh, at least they put some effort in. Nice that it's more in scale with the later releases, but that still leaves Megatron as far too large. So...is a new version of him around the corner too?
I hope for Galvatron at some point.
I don't like that they're already wheeling back around to Prime, even though you probably nailed why they're doing it.

It could be that the third party one simply showed there was a market for it as well. They're a little late responding, but I'm sure some will appreciate being able to get something of similar nature in a "official" capacity.
It looks like the arms are too far back to me. Am is I crazy?

Damn that's one great looking robot. About how big is this one and does it come with both regular and hanger trailers or is that just comparison? I'd get him if it wasn't so pricy.

One trailer that opens into battle station/repair bay like the original toy. It's however big MP Rodimus is. Don't have one yet (or a Grimlock) so I can't give an accurate estimation.
Looking at it more, I do like that the thighs aren't as hurge as the original MP-01. It also hides the wheels on his legs and has a rear-view mirror in truck mode. Neat stuff.

I wouldn't mind getting a smaller scale MP Prime since I don't own any MP Prime. It does look nice. So it's the same size as MP Rodimus?
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
05-10-2011, 08:27 PM
Yeah. First picture up there shows them standing together.
I found this picture that will help show the overall size, since everyone should have a feel for how big the deluxes are:
To MP Rod's left (our left) is the third party/knock off downscaled MP-01.
MPs are still too big to work with Classics even now that they've gotten smaller. Alternators are the only line in decent enough scale with them. Interestingly, everyone in that picture has an Alternators toy except Bumblebee :D
Prime is supposed to be that much bigger than Bumblebee, though, right? In G1 type scaling, I mean.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy

That iGear MP Prime is somewhat in scale with the deluxe Classics in terms of height, but imo seems a bit too clunky around them. MP10 will be too big for them since Rodimus appears to be. Grimlock is "supposed" to be maybe two heads taller than Optimus, so the MP one's height isn't too bad compared to Classics, but again, the overall mass makes it seem a bit much.
Scale is never gonna be just right with most large groups of Transformer toys for some reason or another. That deluxe Jazz is a pretty big deluxe. Even though Bumblebee is really short for one, he feels a bit big compared to Jazz if you judge it by the scale guide from the original show. Bumblebee is really tiny and should only be half as tall as Jazz at most. Ignoring that and just looking at the toys together though, it seems fine. Jazz and Hound "should" also be the same height, but as you see there...lawl.
Trying to assemble the perfect crew based on one particular scale would probably make anyone go nuts, it gets intense. It will vary from person to person as to what feels right anyway. Alternators is only toyline with a scale that makes sense all across the board since they're all 1:24 cars, and as a bonus it's accepted that their heights mostly work with the MP stuff, but if you divert and look at it in terms of characters that are usually different heights from each other, it gets weird again.

If I was a super collector of form-o bots I think I'd be ok with the overall sizes of those guys to one another. Hell even if it was practical and they gave a damn to make everyone in the proper scale things still would be off simply because the car and robot sizes vary in the show and then sometimes they gain or loose mass in the transformation which the toy sure can't recreate.

05-10-2011, 09:36 PM
I don't really care about that stuff too much, but certain things bug me here and there like Classics Galvatron being so much shorter than Classics Optimus. I know there's a deluxe Optimus that'd make them about the same height, but using anything other than the original voyager as "the" Classics Optimus is just bleh.
I feel weird as hell having just talked all that shit.
Tom Toonami Tunes
05-10-2011, 10:18 PM
Nothing weird about wanting the giant bad guys be bigger than the heroes. I know that's a problem with any transformin' Zord like robot, the lesser robots are almost as tall as the official monster toys but once they're together it's like a high-schooler beating on a 7 year old midget. Cool but not all too fair.
Lego also does size shit like not making the gates to the castle sets big enough for the horse and cart sets to go through. Or making this tank Republic Fighter Tank (
http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7679&cn=520&d=322) a huge $50 set when it's small enough to be in scale with the guys at around $20-25 in the battlefront game.

Haven't bought any of the same named figs since first movie. I'll stick with movie 1 voyager Ironhide. I don't see the point in getting later figs even if better. Only exception is if it's a character I like a lot i.e. Starscream.

Prime is definitely another I don't mind picking up various forms of. Only one I really skimped out on was Movie Prime since I pretty much don't care for many of the molds.
I never found Movie 1 Ironhide. I feel like maybe that was meant to happen. Since I never bought any subsequent ones and the leader looks so good to me...

All the pegs for Dark of the Moon toys were up at my local Wal-Mart but nothing was put out yet. Street date is Monday. It's been broken all over the place regardless. Generations toys still had a spot, but PCC and HfTD/RtS was moved to a clearance aisle. SO, the info that Generations will continue on does seem accurate.
I hope they'll consider creating Generations-assortments of some of the RtS stuff that was so rare or even unreleased. Entertainment Earth has a 50 dollar case with Windcharger, but the other toys in there are all year old HFTD scouts that'll be too hard to get rid of, so meh.
So, the twins are officially not in DOTM?
Way to snuff out the tiny tiny tiny TINY bit of enjoyment I was going to get out of it. Thanks a lot Bay.

They're in the comic adaptation, the toyline, and their new vehicles are in the trailer apparently (watched it once and didn't care to play who/what is that game), so I don't know. Bay also said Megatron wasn't going to be in ROTF before it came out (despite fans having already figured out he was) so consider the source.
I saw this forum post that was apparently him, but if he was lying about Megs....alright, I guess?
I dunno, man. We shall see. Almost regret that I'm going to pay for a ticket, but I am. Because going to see it makes me out to be less of a hypocrite than saying I'm not.

Non movie-character, looks more like he'd be in some other line. Can say the same for some of the HA basics.
He does look interesting. Finally snagged an Animated Rodimus for just the cost of shipping. The hole in my life (that oddly wasn't really bothering me) is now filled.

Went to look at da new toys, mostly hoping to see some new Generations they might've been holding. Other guys have reported finding Warpath around Wal-Marts. No luck there for me. No matter, I'll get one.
Looks like the paint was a little inconsistent on some of the new movie deluxes, but nothing terrible. Deluxe and voyager prices were about two bucks cheaper than usual, so that's helpful. New voyager boxes are quite small, but show off the robot modes nicely. Skyhammer is wave 2 so I'll have to wait to pick that up. Goes for Leader Ironhide as well, Neg.
Picked up some Human Alliance basics despite not caring about the little human guys at all. Haven't opened them, but they look like they should be fun. Definitely looks like they could be part of their own line outside of the movie-verse, kind of like HFTD Breacher and Hubcap or some of the PCC commanders.

Good times.
And yeah, some of the DOTM stuff looks a bit rushed - voyager Megatron being so lacking in paint for example, but I think it'll be like the other movie lines where there are at least a few standouts.
PS This year's "human" inductees into Hasbro's TF "Hall of Fame" are Bay and Spielberg! YEAH.
Someone linked me to ddl for Prime (the series. Seriously how are you going to name a series after the most recognizable character in the franchise? Recipe for linguistic disaster).

Passing on something you wanted because it wasn't what you expected or was outright flawed is a weird feeling of success, disappointment, relief, frustration, and joy.
Got all 5 pieces down. Saw the first one, last night. It's watchable, if not as instantly engaging as Animated. This is more than I can usually dream of in this era of the franchise. Looking forward to the rest.
Cliffjumper resurrection. *fingers crossed* It's Cliffjumper, c'mon.
I can't remember if it was me or TK who said that Animated Roddy looked too skiny. That so did not make it's way down to the toy. I've already beef-gasmed, but the more I look at him, the more he seems to have the stature of a Prime, right out of the box. Gaston-like torso, DAT GRIMACE. I need to set up an Animated Autobots display. He shall lead this ragtag crew~

Optimus as a character is all over the place for me. Some versions I like, some just flat out bore me, and some are entirely lolwut (GIVE ME YOUR FACE), but a lot of Optimus toys from series to series have been fairly rad...so there's that. The deluxe and voyager ones in Animated were definitely niftay, and I will forever <3 Classics Op.

If those are the radio controlled go carts than you could actually race them provided the transformers aren't too heavy for the engines.
The idea of Soundwave having to stall tape decks into all his cars so he's compatible with them is amusing.
