The Rufus March rocks my socks. Other than that, FFVII's music is pretty...meh. Especially One Winged Angel. FFVIII, which I think is the worst FF in the bunch, has far superior music. I won't even get into games like FFIX.

I too have a hard time recalling many decent tracks from FFVII. The world map, Aerith's Theme and Those Chosen By The Planet were pretty good (especially that last one. Even though it was rather simply it had a great ominous feel to it). A few others, such as Tifa's Theme and J.E.N.O.V.A sounded rather mediocre in the game but were greatly improved upon in AC.

I never did understand the fascination with One Winged Angel. Dancing Mad, The Extreme, Final Battle (FFIX) and Otherworld all made better final boss themes.

FFVII music sucked.

Excpet for my two songs that I love, Staff Roll and Still more Fighting.

I guess I have such a fascination with Still more Fighting because I learned how to play most of it on the guitar.

And I don't care for One Winged Angel, but the Orchastrated one is much better than the horrible "metal" version they put in AC.

Dancing Mad is an incredible track, imo. And yes, I did mean that FFIX's music blew FFVII's out the water. FFVII's world map music grated on my nerves something horrible. To be perfectly honest, I thought that pretty much all of FFVII's music alternated between bland, grating, and just plain bad synth. I'm currently playing FFV, and I find its music to be superior to FFVII's.

FF VII had good music, but was no where near as good as FF VI. i mean FF VI had an entire Opera written. i am listening to it know and it goes for 23 Minutes.

A lot of people did not like FF IX because it went back to old time like FF VI. The game itself involved everyone, and everyone had a sort of equal share in the game. and it is not all about the main character. it goes from Zidane's park, to Vivi's and so on. if you ask old school fans, they will most likely agree that IX was better than VII and VIII. plus the fact that they did not have Fuc*ing Tetsua desiging the characters.

I forgot the right title of the song, but yeah, i know what you mean: Zidane's down-moment in Pandemonium. (the title was something like "reaching friends"?) Anyways, i like all the songs that take place on Terra, really:

- Terra song.
- Bran Bal song.
- Pandemonium song. (gotta love that hellish organ^^)
- Zidane's scene.
