For all you 80's lovers out there, I made a new Bootleg of Top Gun. Basically, this is a whole new mix based on the 6.1 DTS-MA track from the 3D blu-ray released back in 2013.
I created this mix with the use of the original OST / Expanded OST / Complete score, all blended together with a new rip of (mostly) the surround channels.
So YES, it contains SFX and in some tracks still lots of it. Normally, creating SFX infested complete scores is not my cup of tea... but for some reason I felt that this movie deserved a fresh and new approach.
So I created film mixes/edits of all tracks as they appear in the movie (chronologically!).
Some tracks have never been released at all (like the film version of the opening theme), some tracks are extensions of an older Bootleg, and all the songs are film version edits.
So for now, enjoy this SFX heavy score from one of our beloved movies of the 80's.
Or don't enjoy, it's up to you (I can't blame you for not liking SFX).
Untill we get a proper release (I'm looking at you LLL), this is what we have to deal with.

I don't advertise myself :) My blog is mainly for those interested in my work, to keep track of my releases and version updates. It's purely informational. I guess with a bit of imagination, you can figure out where to find those releases.

Regardless of SFX's ...this is still very good work. And I am all for film version scores so thanks. I'm sure with this presumed Top Gun sequel coming out that LLL will release something. Tom Cruise has stated that Faltermeyer is back to score the sequel so i wouldn't doubt that a score release is coming in the not too distant future. Thanks again.
