I'VE DONE A MUCH BETTER RIP OF THIS SCORE. PLEASE SEE IT HERE. (Thread 220952)

Last week, I finally got around to ripping George Bruns' stupendous scoring of the 1963 animated picture "The Sword in the Stone". Being that it's an unreleased score, it would be wrong of me to not share these treasures online. I wasn't positive on where to spread the news of it, along with my other Disney rips-- among them are "The Rescuers" and "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad", both of which are to be uploaded soon-- but once I discovered this forum, it was apparent that it'd be a perfect fit, what with the many Disney fans and film score buffs 'round these parts.

NOTE: This includes solely the entire instrumental score. Initially, I intended to include the songs with vocals as bonus tracks, however, I accidentally lost my recordings of the music before I got around to ripping the songs with vocals, and was too lazy to record the audio from the DVD again, so as a result this is a strictly instrumental rip (to be completely clear, the instrumentals to the musical numbers are still here, just not versions with vocals).

NOTE 2: While the audio quality isn't ideal, it's the very best it can possibly be for a 54-year-old mono mix. It won't get any better than this.

I've included a "readme" file with the download that includes quite a bit of important information you should know before listening, so please give that a read.
Anywho, with that blither blabber out of the way, here's the download (https://www.dropbox.com/s/rheu7d6vto2f7og/The%20Sword%20in%20the%20Stone.rar?dl=0).

The version with songs was previously shared by Mr Gold and, although it has a small bit of sfx, it's still very enjoyable :)

I appreciate the positive reaction, everyone!

Which software did you apply?

A mix of things in some cases, but mostly Audacity's default "Vocal Isolation and Reduction" tool. It's quite easy to use. Nevertheless, for the best results, one will have to do a little fiddling with the audio and try other tools if the basic reduction software's results aren't efficient.

Looking forward to The Rescuers!

Well, sir, not to burst your bubble, but The Rescuers may not be a thing for a while. I probably should not have even mentioned it in the first post, because, you see, the current rip I have is, er... Not the best. Lingering voices are the greatest problem, and it's because I sourced the rip from my copy of the 2003 DVD, which possesses a horribly muffled and low-quality audio mix, making it nigh impossible to single out the music over the rest of the audio. Of course, I could rip from the Blu-Ray, right? Well, bad news on that front as well; I don't own a Blu-Ray player of any kind, and can't afford one at the moment, as funds are awfully tight. So it will be a while before I can upload a better rip (though I could upload the one I currently have, or at least the better tracks from it, if anyone is desperate to own the score in some form).

Now, while I'm on the topic, I may as well make a proposition. If possible, could anyone reading this please rip the surround audio track to The Rescuers Blu-Ray release? Yes, just the entire audio track, to the entire film, preferably in AC3 format or something similar. Then all I ask is that you put it up for download somewhere, and I would be able to rip the soundtrack properly. It would be a tremendous help, not only in helping me, but all of those who want to hear the score some day.

I suppose I could ask about this somewhere else, but, frankly, I'm not entirely sure where to do so...

By the by, I can formally confirm that The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad rip will be uploaded relatively soon. I've already completed my rip of The Wind in the Willows segment, now I'm working on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow bit. It's a wonderful score, courtesy of Oliver Wallace, and I've greatly enjoyed working with it.

Congratulations PigmaskCol, youve made a fantastic work!!! Thanks a million for all your efforts to share this precious soundtrack with us!!!

I watched this cartoon when it was released in theaters in the mid-1960s. I was a boy, but to this day I still remember it.
