This first appeared on LP when I started college, and as previously written, it was a big hit in the Classical FM station. People could not get enough of this music.

The ambience of the music reverberating from afar and drawing in close, the period instrumentation, the marvelous voices and soloists all created a special
timeliness.... especially if you turned the lights down low. I was thrilled when it appeared on CD. While there have been period renditions of Christmas music
created by other ensembles (including the Boston Camerata) nothing has ever come this close to capturing that period of the Dark Ages. It is not just the music
but the very atmosphere that conjures up ancient images of the Christmas story--- distant and mysterious.
