Thank you.
Just a thing, why sharing in wav? FLAC is the same but takes half the size.
And why tracks are not named?

1) I, once again, use wav.
2) Sometimes I forget to tag!
lorddsp

WAV is an uncompressed lossless format, FLAC is a compressed lossless format but when played , it's exactly the same quality and takes half size so you can easily convert in FLAC before posting the link.
It's not the tag, it's the track naming , always we should rename all tracks it's not a problem but we should take time to finish the job, sorry but when I see Track No01.wav, it's not very nice.
Btw, your shares are excellent :-)

Okay, but that still doesn't answer the question: why using it in the first place? There is no gain in it. FLAC is lossless as well, but only half the size. Less to upload for you, less to download for us. Win-win scenario!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, it's just a suggestion. Your uplads are great, and I have enjoyed several of them already. If you insist on wav, by all means, go on with it. I can always convert wav to FLAC, so all is well, as far as I'm concerned.

1) I can't burn a cd using flac, my media players (like ps3 or others) don't read flac. So, fuck the flac. Am I clear enough in order to not repeat that each time?
So if Flac is the only thing we can use here, ok, I am now stopping sharing anything.
2) Tagging or naming... sometimes I simply forgot both.

1) Burn in WAV and convert after in FLAC before sending link to save time for you and us to up and down etc.
2) Sometime?, no, all the last links from you were like that, so I m sorry but the job is not finished because we will never let the tracks like that on our HDD.
But as already told, what you share is very good, but we should rename + convert after downloading, it's ok , I manage albums all the day.

And Marc, just convert it to Flac yourself, my friend... I think this shouldn't be a problem, right? ;)

Arthur, it's not about the format, it's more about the tracks naming, when you manage a lot of albums each day, it's a bit annoying to finish the job but it's ok, as I told, it's just a positive critique, a suggestion only :-)

Seriously you guys know I love FLAC too, and being in tracker has made me love and want 100% perfect FLAC rips even more..
But if there's something I want for long, and I can't find it or afford it, it's hard to get and someone shares it in MP3 I damn right WILL take it and APPRECIATE IT.
It's as easy as to grab a portable program and change it to FLAC.

This should never have been an issue whatsoever. Because you can freely convert it to whatever format you desire after downloading, it doesn't go any farther beyond that circumstance.

CLONEMASTER 6.53
12-03-2016, 11:38 PM
Well, it shouldn't.
It's entirely up to the uploader as to which format he uses. Unless it's an unacceptable or unplayable format, this one's down the hole.

If he stops sharing just after some comments, just lol, guys who can't accept positive critical deserve no interest and named correctly all tracks is a minimum, the format even if it takes 2x the size of a FLAC for nothing, ok, but the name of tracks....

It's not the question, of course I will finish the job myself, but when you share it's supposed to be a finished product not a draft.
But ok I am maybe a bit exacting I admit :-/

I use lossless AAC for iTunes on my Mac and FLAC for my Oppo (because that model doesn't support AAC). I don't complain when someone shares something in either format because it's a very easy transfer. But WAV? I dunno, there's always a solution for WAV.

Yeah. In this case it takes even less. I converted it to flac-5 and it's 285 mb, 42% of the original size.

Yep me too, 285MB exactly, for the same quality...
The tags were ok but just the name of tracks should be added.

Oh my... I choose wav. My choice (anyone doesn't like it, after downloading, change the wav in mp3 128 kbps if you want, lol) 'cause my players prefer wav The end about that. And lorddsp was just complaning about the naming of the tracks. More seriously, I also don't care about name tracks. When I was young, a longtime ago, I used lps and tapes. You know what? No name appeared on the lp or tape players. Incredible. So today, I still know exactly the number of the track I love to listen, etc (for instance I love the track 09 of Dr Strange...ah yes, the"sanctimonious sanctum sacking" track... I don't need names, you do, I don't). So, when I put names, it's for you, people, not for me and sometimes, I forgot. And maybe it will be strange for some but I got a life (that means I have not so much time I want). So I am not angry. Just tired. I just want to share. And just after that, then the questions!
- Where's the booklet? (wtf, I don't have a scanner!)
- Why wav? 'cause PS3, TV etc...
- Why that? 'cause this!
- Why this? 'cause that!
Is it not possible to simply enjoy what we got? It seems not. And, by the way, there's a simple solution, guys, buy the cd! 5, 10, 50, 100 $.... You will have the original one!! With the real plastic case, the real paper of the booklet, etc.. and the real CD!
PS; Blackie gave me an idear. Sharing only mp3, and I will add the condition : only 64kbps! Imagine the rough music of Rozsa in 64kbps!!!! Lol!
Someone asks for the eye of the needle (soundtrack library), I will start with this one!!
PS2 : I am joking!

Just imagine, I have more than 4TB in FLAC, imagine if it's was in WAV, almost 10TB for the same thing! It's not possible.
At my level, space disk is important because behind mains disk there are several backup and a NAS of 16 TB ( but 8TB in raid 1) so I should manage and save the most possible space disk because datas have cost and good disk / NAS are expensive even I have money, I hate to waste.
About tracks name, if you are tags it's ok but when you are looking in the folder for a track name it's a bit annoying to right click each track to have the tag.
Btw, we are not at the same school regarding managing music but we all love music :-)

I imagine!! More than 4Tb on my side! And backups too! I DO understand. But, again, my choice. If you want to change the format, well in 1 or 2 minutes, it will be done. Did I ask anyone wav format? No. Did I ask for flac-5 or -4 or... well I even did not know that there are differents levels of flac! Lol. And by the way, if there are differents levels, why?
I am simply glad when someone share music (with or without names!!!!). I thank him, add rep. That's all. So, I heard your suggestions. I will answer that : always wav! Names? When I think about that. Tags? When I can.
