Hi everyone.
I'm not sure where to post this, but I feel like this is the most appropriate place. I want to report the user Thomas Tallis. He messaged me one day after I requested the recording sessions of Twilight Saga New Moon by Alexandre Desplat. He said he had 57 tracks of the sessions in exchange of a rare promo. After I sent him two rare promos, he sent me the soundtrack album and not the recording sessions. So, he's a fraud and needs to be banned. I can screenshot all the messages for proof.
Thanks.

He gave me something and asked me not to share it. I will be honourable and honour his request. However, he seems to have screwed this user out of a trade. I find that pretty dishonourable. Therefore, I will no longer honour my agreement to him, and post what he gave me. See how that works?

He should be actually banned for being a fake like that, actually I think that would go against the forum's rules..

Let me quote Jessie from this Thread - Question to the mods regarding banning someone (
Thread 125653)
We don't ban people for uploading/posting music.
This forum is not for trading, if this happens behind the scenes, we can't do anything to stop it.
I personally have stated many times that we don't trade music here and have closed threads because of it. Don't do it, don't spend money doing it, just stay away from it. This is a sharing forum, if you're asked to trade here, then it's your decision or not to do it. We are not going to punish someone that trades with someone else and if the person/s are unhappy with what they get.
There's also the fact that film/movie music people seem to have too high a standard when it comes to the music they get, i have seen it get worse over the years. Be happy with what you get and stop complaining when something is posted and isn't rare or complete or if it's posted in the wrong section, there is no need for all the hostility over nothing.
Also this Guy has Stuff that hasn't been posted here, yet only a couple of Rep Points
and 99% of Threads created in the Request Section, which tells us he is here to trade, leech and hoard,
but not to share. Forgive me if if i don't shed a Tear when he shoots himself in the Foot.

For future reference, in similar situations, it would probably be a good idea to ask for a screen shot of the material(s)' folder that you (speaking to everybody here) are trading for.

Yeah, it's morally very wrong, but not against the forum and pretty much the user's responsability, as ManRay quoted, my bad, people can be wrong xD

Bring it on Momonoki! :) Also, Thomas Tallis (or The Statham) or whatever his name now is, is a dickweed. He approached me with sessions for Alive in trade for something else, and a few days later Number112 says fuck it and uploads it anyway. Guy's a tool :)

I'll say it right now: those Spider-Man 3 files that Momo and hnameer got from TT? They're mine.
I won't explain much, other than I got the files to help a friend out on a trade he's attempting to do with another user.
For whatever reason, that exact link ended on Thomas's hands and now gave it to the mentioned two people, despite being a thing I desperately pulled from SoulSeek.
He didn't even attempt to change the file name! (Which is "Pecker," which I named to actually reference the film).
This is a real confusing scenario here.
Momonoki
10-26-2016, 05:19 PM
If TT got your file it means TT was the one offering that thing to our mutual friend is the one who Gave it to him lol. I wonder if he got what was promised.... probably not...

Serious question because I just honestly don't get it.
Why do soundtracks have this thing where people try to be selective about who they share a pirated soundtrack with? What exactly is the issue if people start freely distributing them? It's pirated. It's already illegal. There are infinite copies of it.
Someone please explain the logic of being possessive over something that is unlimited and that you don't even own.
Momonoki
10-26-2016, 06:31 PM
Because it has value for trading for other soundtracks you don't have. If everyone openly posted everything, there'd be no trading game to play, and everyone would be able to enjoy the music. That wouldn't make any sense

It's like a little economy.
The reason for this is that people pay hundreds of dollars for complete scores from people who are "in the business". Then they use what they "own" to haggle for other complete scores which other people have. It's more rewarding in their minds to pay money for this complete score and get more out of it than if they were to just post it.

But if everyone just posted everything they wouldn't need to trade for anything in the first place.
TheSkeletonMan939
10-26-2016, 06:42 PM
Indeed. But to these people, music is like money. Having paid no small amount of cash to have the scores smuggled from some studio FTP, they want to feel like they're "earning back" the money they've paid by trading around for more. As if they're getting two for the price of one. It's human nature.

If there were an infinite supply of food we'd all end up looking like the fatties in Wall-E. Did the people in Wall-E even have a government, communist or otherwise? I guess TV distracted them from caring.

I disagree. All available evidence suggests that most people if freed from struggling don't just sit around and do nothing all day, they turn their free time and energy towards pursuing things that interest them. A certain percentage would just sit around and do nothing, but if there's no scarcity of resources, who cares?

Skelly, have you ever read Iain Banks' Culture Series (
