This the first CD pressing on Victor VDP-1040 I bought in Japan in 1985 after seeing seen the slow but well-made film, which included the great Chishū Ryū (a favourite of Ozu) as the father. The soundtrack won Best Music Score at the 7th Yokohama Film Festival. It has a memorable main theme and for me the dialogue adds to the sombre mood.
I used dBpoweramp to convert to FLAC compression level 8 (best).
It's my first time to do proper scans, so please let me know how I can improve the images. Also, they are in JPEG but I don't know if people prefer uncompressed TIFF, or PDF versions.
There's still a working MP3-320 link (without booklet) at http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=141479.
If you are interested, please PM me for the FLAC and 16-page booklet download link.
