Never watched past the first atrocious episode, which I believe was scored by McCreary, so I'm curious to know if is this material is imitative of McCreary or a knockoff of bargain basement RCP?

It breathes McCreary through.Ortega is VERY good at fusing with McCreary.

Ortega works on almost all if not all of Bear's projects. You'd never know which tracks were whose,which is the point....

Listening to McCreary's Defiance album now (skipping the songs) — not bad, though the hard rock elements aren't really to my taste — but I'll take up your recommendation anyway and sample Ortega's work.
