Set in New York, and featuring everyone from Grandmaster Melle Mel, Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa through to the
Rock Steady Crew, this seminal hip hop drama stars a young Rae Dawn Chong, Guy Davis + Saundra Santiago and was
produced by Harry Belafonte. Arthur Baker headed up the music department and the film's music and moves made an
indelible mark on budding hip hoppers the world over.

Released in 1984 (not a bad year for music films) Beat Street inspired many local DJs, breakers, MCs and graff artists.

This includes The Original Soundtrack volume 1 & 2 remastered 2003 edition + 8 "unreleased" tracks
all arranged in order of occurrence and in lossless quality,
except for 2 songs never released on CD (lossy source but clear sound).

Also indudes to this edition 2 extras tracks edited in their film version
the first includes the missing rap on "Son Of Beat Street" (big thanks to Shade for his great work),
and I have personally edited the "Roxy Battle" (3 songs mixed together with "Breaker's Revenge"
which was completely revised and re-edited for the cult scene.)
