Here's another classic movie musical I have been able to expand the soundtrack for using the 5.1 tracks from the BluRay release. Unfortunately not ALL of the film's score could be used (as well as Beautiful Face, Have A Heart and If You Want the Rainbow (You Must Have the Rain)) due to massive SFX present on all channels. This, however, is the most complete soundtrack any of us will probably ever get as it appears that Sony Music has no intention of ever releasing the score for this film (Sony has acquired the rights from Arista as of 2009 and the BluRay from Twilight Time did not included the Isolated Score as most of their other features do). For this soundtrack I've used many different sources for the musical numbers themselves. "Let's Hear It For Me" contains the entire 3 minute introduction originally recorded and intended for the film (15 seconds of the deleted intro can be see during a bonus feature on the BluRay) but the portion that was deleted before the final print is not the greatest quality compared to the rest of the track so I apologize in advance for that but I felt it needed to be included. A couple of the numbers had to be remixed by taking the original soundtrack version and mixing it with the instrumental track from the film itself. I also included some numbers (like "Billy Rose's Aquacade") even with minor SFX or some dialogue audible because I felt they had to be included no matter what.
And, again, I'm providing a "bonus disc" of extra material! The bonus tracks are from the original soundtrack album, the REMASTERED soundtrack album (which contained different mixes on one or two tracks), the recording sessions for the film, the quadraphonic edition of the soundtrack (three completely different takes/mixes were used for the quadraphonic album), an Arista Records retrospective soundtrack collection which contained an alternate version (VERY alternate) of "How Lucky Can You Get" and even the single version for "How Lucky Can You Get" is included.
I will also point out that if you wish to burn this to compact disc you cannot leave the "2 second" gap between tracks as many of these tracks flow into one another (as the numbers/music do in the film) and the other important note is that if you DO wish to burn this to compact disc you will need to start your second disc with "Billy's Visit", "Let's Hear It For Me (reprise/finale)" and "How Lucky Can You Get" (finale/end titles) and then the bonus tracks.
I really hope someone aside from me enjoys this one. Funny Lady has always been an underappreciated gem in my opinion. :)

A little note about the cover art: I decided to use the original film poster which included the image of Streisand and James Caan together as well as the iconic profile with rose artwork. ;)
