As much as I appreciate the generous inclusion of underscore cues on Turner's indispensible expanded CDs of MGM classic musicals, on some occasions it is even nicer to hear the instrumental score and dance music minus the songs. This is a 25 minute instrumental suite which I have pieced together from the MGM 1957 film version of Cole Porter's 1955 Broadway musical adaptation of "Ninotchka"�, SILK STOCKINGS, which starred Fred Astaire (in what was announced at the time as his final film musical) and Cyd Charisse, directed by Rouben Mamoulian. Porter's sparkling and sometimes gorgeous music was brilliantly orchestrated by the legendary Conrad Salinger from arrangements by Andre Previn and the score is played by the virtuoso MGM Studio Orchestra conducted by Previn. Cole Porter's score for SILK STOCKINGS� is not as well known as some of his more famous and more popular shows. The original Broadway version suffered from mediocre orchestrations which did not do Porter's music full justice, in my opinion, but Salinger & Previn's symphonic treatment is a revelation and an infectious listening treat.

I got the same error when I tried. This is the second time a Mega file of mine has stopped working. I hope it is just a temporary glitch and not a preview of things to come.
