As much as I appreciate the generous inclusion of underscore cues on Turner's indispensible expanded CDs of MGM classic musicals, on some occasions it is even nicer to hear the instrumental score and dance music minus the songs. This is a 34 minute instrumental suite which I have pieced together from the Lerner & Loewe 1958 musical classic, GIGI. The Frederick Loewe music was brilliantly orchestrated by the legendary Conrad Salinger from arrangements by Andre Previn and the score is played by the virtuoso MGM Studio Orchestra conducted by Previn. I hope you enjoy this extended underscore suite as much as I do.
