I'm not sure how lossless web streaming works for webrips/webcaps to be entirely archive-worthy.

There were no digital downloads at the time Goback posted his version.
His is the same as a few other places that just recorded it from a lossless stream.

I personally asked the original person who had these that everyone is sharing.
They could only say it's a lossless stream but cannot say where.

As I said before, I don't know how lossless streaming works.

But now that I have both versions to compare:

Spectrograms show it's nearly identitcal. The stream has one minor frequency shooting beyond normal range.
Doubt you can hear it or if it will ever affect playback.

The analsyis of volume and peaks using SoX and "foobar2000 1.3.6 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1" show that the web stream has been amplified/normalized.
Usually any sort of broadcasting gets run through some sort of peak normlization (like EBU R128).

With the web stream, there's no need to apply any normalization on it or use Foobar2000's ReplayGain as it's already reached maximum peak.

They look the same, except for that one spike in the WEB rip. Plus the WEB version is also amplified to some unknown degree.
(we don't know how it was amplified/normalized, guessing using EBU R128, industry standard for broadcasting standards for music/radio)

The WEB rip has more bitrate because it was amplified/normalized (again to no known degree of how or what normalized; best guess: peak normalization).
Mind you, it's only been amped slightly.

I can't use foobar2000's "bit-comparitor" as the both tracks are different lengths/samples and it would be tedious to try match them exactly before doing a bit-comparison.

At any rate, I'd still like to be in control of any amplification/normalization/compression (dynamic range compression), so I'm more thankful for the CD rip.

Interstellar WEB rip will likely also suffer from the amp/norm/comp.
And since there's no real CD rip anywhere or even the HDtracks version to compare to, I've no real idea how it's supposed to sound.

Stay With Me has the same core theme you hear in the trailer, just in a slow variation. I don't know, why they missed the trailer music track? It's powerful and definitely more orchestral.
