Elliot Goldenthal's score for Batman & Robin. This is the cancelled score album that was due to be released by Atlantic Records back in 1997 when the film came out. Due to poor box office and word of mouth that the film was awful, Atlantic Records had quickly cancelled the album a few weeks before release.

I don't know whether this is from the youtube video, but i can confirm that it's NOT a 320 rip. It's one of those dreadful transcodes... why can't people just leave the original file be? Or if this IS from the youtube rip, learn how to extract the audio without transcoding it.

HOWEVER, i am not blaming anyone in particular for the transcode, least of all the OP. Just stating a fact and expressing my feelings on transcodes in general :) thanks for the upload anyway and helping spread this. When will the record companies learn that these things WILL sell anyway because there is a faithful audience? Even though it's not as big as the mainstream audience who prefer the songs.

I downloaded this yesterday (Sunday the 20th) to take with me into NYC on my MP3 player.
Just listening to this reminded me how great film music can be if you have a composer that is intelligent enough to make music daring and fun to listen. I enjoyed hearing this score and I hope it get an official CD release soon.

To be fair, I hear this after listening to Transformers Age of Extinction.

This is purely NUTS. I'm always fascinated by box office failures... but such a bad movie that they PULL the score album entirely??? Nuts. Luckily, I think the whole film score culture has really changed in the last 5 years, and there's a popular appreciation for a composer's work that was never there before (same with fullscreen DVD, now that I think about it.) Why, oh why, did this guy stop writing music again?

George Clooney supersucked as Bruce Wayne, grinning through his friend's passing (YKW). Bane lost a few brain cells. Arnold became a stand up comedian.

This is most awesome ! Because the full bootleg is a bit much to listen to and even though Goldenthal in his gothic style is always a plus, this condensed album makes me appreciate his music even more. Plus the sound on this is fantastic. Thank you so much RedDevil.

And let me admit it, I like the movie a lot. I'm aware it's frowned upon for being absolutely distasteful, but I can enjoy all its campy cheesiness and over the top shenanigans. Visually it's a great looking flick and I prefer Clooney's take on the character over Val Kilmer's. The score definitely helps in me enjoying B&R much more. There I said it...
