This seems to be more of an issue with Mega. I’ve seen mentioned somewhat frequently around this board. Sometimes Mega downloads the file perfectly, whereas other times it has these errors; it’s hit and miss, really.

The solution, from what I’ve read, is a program(?) called JDownloader, which downloads it inside the program rather than straight from the browser. However, I don’t know for certain because I haven’t used it myself. Might be worth looking into, though.

Hi, aside from aces’ advice you might also want to try installing mega adds-on/extension to your FF browser(though this will ruin the upload speed I dunno why). anyway heres your request. (valid for 1 week only)

It is my understanding that La Pucelle is a Nippon Ichi game… so if mimi were to re-up NIS soundtracks that would be included. If not however, I did get both my copies of La Pucelle Ragnarok and ~Legend of the Holy Maiden of Light~ Arrange from this very thread…

It’s not a bug, it’s how most original osts are made. How other artists record their stuff really isn’t any different.

That’s the problem. I don’t see any picture. I only see a link to the cover art and nothing happens when I click on that.

There are a couple of pics that don’t have links added to them as they seem to be placeholders, however those are in the minority. Which soundtrack were you looking at specifically?

There is this known issue that when you close the M*GA page without moving the file to other directory, the DLed file will be removed also. This is still occurring so next time make sure to extract the file before closing the M*GA page = )

Thank you for all this goodness. However, I found it a little hard to browse through the links that are up so far, mostly because of the covers and the classification. I hope you’ll post updates in the last page so we won’t go through the list if we’ve already done it before.
It will also help if you add color coding for fan arrangements or unofficial releases, but I must warn you, if you use VGMdb for that, you could mark official doujin releases as fan made.

That was the drama/vocal album, but I’d love to have the original soundtrack, too, as I’ve been looking for months. Just whenever you have the time. =]

However, I usually download stuff straight to my Desktop for easy access and I’ve never had this issue.

The thing was, at the time I first wanted to download it, it was a picture and nothing more. I had yet to realize the significance of the word "pending".

The reason I thought I had downloaded it was because I had wanted to, but forgot that the file was not there yet and it was only a picture. Of course, that is no longer true and I’ve long since downloaded it (I think…).

So maybe I’m not understanding which part you’re having an issue with. My take on it was that you were having issues with MEGA itself, not finding the links. Am I correct in assuming this?
When I am picking out a few things to DL I will just enable JDownloader’s clipboard url grabber. Just right click the direct MEGA link (not the omega one) and copy it, and JDownloader should find the file associated with the link on its own. Make sure you get that "online" icon on the side of the link and go ahead and hit "continue with package". Hit the play button on the download tab and in a little bit you should have successfully downloaded the file.

So maybe I’m not helping at all, or helping you with the wrong problem. Lemme know, because a few other people just needed to try a couple different things and managed to get these albums no problem.

Tbh I used to only collect mp3s/ogg/m4a/etc. I’d even convert my lossless music to v0 mp3s… then I got myself a decent set of headphones and found that I liked the sound of lossless enough to change my ways. While that means I have to deal with larger file sizes, it also keeps me from hoarding a bunch of stuff I don’t care about enough to keep. So my collection is a lot leaner, and I’m better off for it.

Just out of curiousity though, what’s a, let’s say 500GB external cost in your area?

You can keep a lot of music on a 1TB. A lot of people here seem to use foobar as well, which let’s you boot music even in .rar directories, so could potentially squeeze more room out of your HD if you wanted to. It’s whatever you want it to be really. I don’t NEED to have lossless music, but if it’s something I like and I can find it in the format I prefer, then I’ll nab that lossless.

I was just giving an idea. I have nothing against you having lossless. I don’t know if you understood that, but that was not point.
If we can, we can all choose what we prefer to listen the best for us, the way we want. I grab lossless to have better mp3 sound. But…. sometimes lossless is a real pain in the ass, because, 1 gb rar… takes a lot of days for me to download. Connection in my country is not best and the services are not good either.

You can only create an account there on Saturdays (Chinese time). There are a few guides on the internet on what the different things mean during the registration process. When you have successfully made an account you need to make 10 posts (I recommend the discussion forum) before you can start uploading stuff and get "notes" (currency) to download other people’s things.

After getting into music collecting I realize just how much you can find using chinese resources. That being said, the second link you posted has a working link. I use 2dgal sometimes to find stuff, and as such I have an account. I’ll download the album and post it later. Thanks for finding it.

The soundtrack isn’t as "gangsta" as I thought it’d be (I’m only familiar with the name, not the game), but it’s still pretty good.

here is my litle trick for you all

Wiv’ that, ye can download on Mega, Uploaded, Zippyshare, 1fichier, and lotsa other hosters like if ya had a Premium. (worth it even only fer the Uploaded Premium, ‘cuz the limitations of this hoster are nightmarish on free mode, but once in Premium, yer goin’ rocket fast… Problem is, Uploaded’s expensive. So, gettin’ a Premium on Uploaded for three times less the cost is worth it. And there also be 60+ other hosters that are "emulated" in Premium)

’tis a nice way to gain lotsa time, and lotsa money, since the Alldebrid Premium’s overall cheaper than any other hoster.

And combined with JDL 2 Beta, ye got yeself a real download machine. Very efficient.

Tho I’d recommend t’use Mega Downloader wiv’ Mega, ‘cuz JDL tends to botch sumuv the Mega downloads. But wiv’ Mega Downloader, ye’ll never have any problem.

When it comes to that personnaly, it’s always gamerips. Because there’s nothing more true to the source than the music directly played by the console’s sound chip.

Sega used to release compilations in the early nineties, and those were the best you could get outside of Japan. There was no OST for Out Run released outside of Japan, because most people would not even think buying video game music…

And I hated what was done to those compilations, because instead of publishing the tracks from the games like they sounded, they instead published MIDI arranges.

I fuckin’ hate MIDI arranges.

MIDI doesn’t sound that great, so why even bother doing that? Just put the original tunes!

I can understand orchestral arranges, remixes, band arrangements… But MIDI? I love it when they chiptune a recent OST (all the more when they manage to get it to sound exactly like if it had been released on a specific console, because it feels like it was composed using the console’s sound chip), but MIDI arranges are crappy at best, sometimes it doesn’t even sound like the original track…

That’s the kind of arrangement I truly dislike.

If an arrangement is uninspiring, I’ll just switch back to a gamerip.

I own petatons of them since I’ve converted all of Zophar’s domain archives into MP3. I think I also have a rip for every Super Nintendo game ever released…

I used to download full sound libraries encoded in the sound format of the console (SPC, KSS, GYM, NSF, …), then convert everything to MP3…

I love gamerips. THat’s the raw sound of the console, primal, untouched, pristine.

Even when I click on the art, nothing happens and I don’t see any link. Url box might have something to do with it. I’ve tried in Chrome and IE.

Hey bark, I was just trying to think of a way to help you with your ongoing problem.
My idea was to have you use the "reply with quotes" function to simply see what mixi has posted in BBCode format. Which would mean you could just extract the link from his post with a little digging around. But I’ve discovered a problem that prevents such a solution from working. mixi uses the [ q u o t e ] function to encapsulated the actual albums, and my proposed idea doesn’t work on doubly quoted posts. I guess I can’t do much more for you other than forward links.

Just a thought, and while it wouldn’t take much effort I’d say you have no obligation to change up what you’ve already posted, but there’s a simple solution to bark’s problem that you could implement.
All you would have to change is where you put your [u r l] tags in your posts. Instead of linking the whole image + album title + info, you could move the tag so that it only effects the title + info.
This is always hard to explain rather than to show it, so here’s what I mean:

I’m pretty sure this fixes bark’s problem, and doesn’t change the appearance of your posts at all. Again, you don’t have any obligation to do this, so no pressure. Even if you did agree to this change I’d suggest that you just make this alteration to any NEW posts you make. Unless you’re a masochist I don’t think you’d go back and change EVERY SINGLE album you’ve got on here so far.

Sorry I give up scanning on that for following reason.
・60 times of scanning & 120 pages of cropping taking me forever.
・Artbook is so thick that cannot make it flat on the scanner which creates strange shadow & ruins the wonderful image.
・Edge of the page cuts coz the artbook is quite larger than my scanner screen.

I’ve found I have a lot of the stuff you post anyway, mostly through chinese boards, but I will almost always replace those copies with you’re personal rips. Some of the stuff I’ve found was ripped years ago, with outdated software, and I’ll most always prefer getting the music directly from the person who ripped it. So your efforts are most appreciated… and having scanned a few things in my day… I’ve concluded that you enjoy torturing yourself to put all that time into not only scanning, but also cleaning up the scans so they look nice and trim. =D

That being said, I’m curious what ordering service you use (assuming that’s what you use in the first place). There are folks who offer to give you a Japanese shipping address so you can order stuff of amazon, ebay, or need ways of getting those niche doujins that circulate the various conventions. I figured since you must order stuff rather frequently, you must have a pretty decent method that isn’t too expensive. Just my own curiosity here, but I was hoping to find something like that for my own nefarious reasons. ‘ u ‘

If I were you I would not scan. I would mostly take pictures of the pages. My copy of Ariel Deluxe (http://vgmdb.net/album/48428) has 2 books, which I will not doubt not scan them. For that I would have to damage the books.
those kind of books. I personally think that, unless if you some great physical tools to scan them, you should try to scan if you have a certain love for it.
It’s not that I don’t want to share the pictures of the books or anything. I would love to scan my Ariel Deluxe (http://vgmdb.net/album/48428) books and share it with a good friend of mine, but I will not take the risk of damaging it. If my camera was not broken, I would take pictures instead just to be able to show what’s on those books.
