I personally edited the first four tracks of the album to represent the music as it appeared in the short, as edited originally by music consultant Forrest Patten. Tracks 1 and 2 are the original cues from the short, and track 3 is the credit cue. Track 4 is a combination of tracks 1 and 2 and omitts the silence that occurs when the ball pops. The music continues to play on smoothly, thus representing a full song.
Tracks 5-7 are the original production library music songs that Mr. Patten used to edit the music into the short. The music was written and performed by Brian Bennett and Cliff Hall; it released by Bruton Music on the album "Counterpoint in Rhythm" (BRD 17). This album has only been available on vinyl and has never been on CD or mp3. To my knowledge, these library tracks haven't been identified by anyone else until now.
I hope you enjoy this very rare part of Pixar history. Any "likes" or "thanks" would be greatly appreciated!
