I wonder what you think about:
Carter Burwell replacing Patrick Doyle for Thor: The Dark World
and
Henry Jackman replacing Alan Silvestri for Captain America: The Winter Soldier

O_O Carter Burwell. It's been awhile for him. I didn't listen to his Twilight work.
But I love The Corruptor and The Jackal.
But I don't know. I wouldn't go to the cinemas to hear it either. :laugh:

I got faith in Henry Jackman. Love Silvestri, but you can't fight Hollywood.

i hope much that thor 2 is having good tracks like thor 1. i very much like songs in there, and hope they destroy it not.... hoping...

I was really hoping Patrick Doyle would come back for Thor: The Dark World. I really enjoyed his work on the first film (so much it's one of my favourite scores of all time). Carter Burwell is a good composer so if he can do as well as he did on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 then I will be satisfied, I just hope Burwell keeps some of the themes Doyle wrote for the first film. As for Captain America, well I'm kind of conflicted. They've got rid of one of my favourite composers and replaced him with another of my favourite composers. I liked Alan Silvestri's work on Captain America: The First Avenger but apart from the main theme, the score didn't really stick out for me. Henry Jackman can hopefully mae something that is unique and exciting for Captain America. However he better bring the main theme back as because it's been used for two movies now (Captain America and The Avengers) it's kind of become what I associate with the character.

Williams' Superman theme and Elfmans' Batman theme were used for a multitude of movies, and they were not reused. Williams' themes for Potter were nt reused. Such is the way it goes.

Doyle should come back for thor 2, and james horner should come back for spider man 2!

I would have prefer if Alan Silvestri will be coming back for Captain America 2, but sadly he isn't. I hope Henry Jackman delivers and doesn't disappoint.
I prefer Patrick Doyle to return as well for Thor 2, but he's been replaced - first by Carter Burwell, but now it's Brian Tyler on board. I could care less if James Horner returns or not for TASpider-man 2. I mean i like some of his works but as a composer for an action adventure, i find his style a little less exciting.

Oh man, I really prefer both silvestri and Doyle to their replacements, I hope I will not be disappointed.
