Does anybody Know any fast way to kill the emerald wepon.
Ive tried and the battle lasted for 1 and a half hours and i still died. i had everybodys best wepons and all my charaters didi 9999 damage. help please.

Well I konw a few good tips and this is the way that I went about beating him. I did my 7777 trick (look at my thread) on one person so when the battle started they took off 500,000 HP at the start before he could do anything. Then, I had one person equipped with W-summon Knights of the Round and Quad magic Bahamut Zero. I w-summoned KOTR, mimed it with the next person and used the third person to restore the first persons mp and repeated the process. And YOU MUST HAVE FINAL ATTACK-REVIVE COMBO OR YOU WILL DIE!

The way I defeated Emerald was to make sure that the Final Attack materia was as high levelled as possible, and then pair that with Phoenix. Not only does Phoenix revive all your characters, it also does some damage back to the Emerald Weapon.

Also, the damage of Aire Tam Storm is indicative of how much materia you have equipped. One piece of materia = 1111 HP damage, two pieces = 2222 HP, and so on... So the less materia you equip, the less damage that move will do.

Underwater materia, you obviously have, otherwise you'd die within the 20 minute time limit.

Get two pieces of mime materia (or ideally three), summon KOTR and mime it as often as you can before you get wiped out / need to heal, and then repeat. Believe me, KOTR is the only way I defeated this beast, so the more tries you get with it, the better.

Hmmm...I have the same problem of trying to deal with those weapon monsters. But huh?? How did you guys get those Final Attack materia or KOTR or the Quad magic ?? I need help on defeating them too. Please don't tell me that I need a Gold Chocobo to get across those areas.....I don't even have one:(

OK, I won't... you need a **** Chocobo to get KOTR, and I think both Quad Magic and Final Attack are Chocobo Racing prizes.

Final Attack Materia is the prize for the Special Battle at the Battle Square (obtained by winning the Omnislash and W-Summon items at the Battle Square.) You need a Gold Chocobo to reach the KOTR materia located in the top right corner of the world map, there is no other way of getting it.

I've forgotten where Quad Magic is exactly though.

Quadra Magic is in the materia cave south of Wutai. I don't remember but I think it is a mountain chocobo you need to get there (a.k.a. green) If you have any more questions PM me plz.:) ;)

I have beaten him several times and i know a sure fire way to kill him: You need KOTR, W-summon, 3 mime materia's, and underwater. For me the rivive combo was not needed (also he has 1'500'000 health, i counted it when i killed him) first have as little Materia on as needed like BZ said. Also give Cloud: 1 mime, W-summon, KOTR, underwater. Give the other 2 a mime each and nothing else. now when the battle starts W-summon KOTR and then when the next players go turns up just mime and carry on until dead. It takes a while but it is the only way to beat him without maxing stats also he won't be able to attack. Trust me. ^_^

There is a faster way to beat emerald weapon without the need for all that materia, and thats including KOTR and Underwater. You dont need those.

Heres what you need:
About 30 or more Hero Drinks
50 megalixers to be safe
Enemy Skill: Big Guard(this gives each character Protect, shell and Haste)
HP Plus mastered (2 per character)
W-item equiped on your third character
Cid with ultimate weapon and Highwind
Cloud with Ultima weapon and Omnislash
One character strictly uses items
DO NOT USE SUMMONS!!!
Counter Attack materia on Cloud and Cid
Counter materia( the blue one) With Death Blow on Cloud so he counters twice per attack.
Double Cut so it has 4 times slash
Fury Status on Cid and Cloud

Now with Cid only use him when he has a Limit Break. Who ever your third character is only use items and use Megalixer and Hero Drink in that order. Get alternate between Cloud and Cid. Use Omnislash whenever you get the chance, If Cloud doesnt have a limit just attack he will do 9999 with every attack after a few Hero Drinks. Use hero drinks until you get 9999 with every shot from omnislash and around 4000 to 5000 with Highwind.

Never select a limit while the third character is using items. Not until he/she is using the last item.

I was only at level 76 when I did this so you dont need to max out. contact me if you have any questions. I defeated Emerald in 12 min with this strategy.

i find that the easiest way of beating him is to have the pheonix and final attack combo, the all characters with mime, one character with w-summon and zero bahmaut and quadra magic linked with teh summon, the w-summon the quadra magic and mime it with all youre characters, one of the advantages of this is when you mime it it doubles the amount of times it does it i believe, and it can be used with quadra unlike kotr so it eventually begins to do mkore damage.
just my thoughs prob all wrong it takes time though to master the mime.

I've beaten Emerald WEAPON twice, but I'm sorry, but there really is no other way to beat him other than the time consuming getin' gold chocobo and KOR Materia. Heck, there's more ya gotta get:W-Summon, Final Attack, Mime, Turbo Ethers, and Ominslah. This is why they say Emerald and Ruby WEAPON are the game's greatest challenge! You gotta have the time and the patience to get the best to beat the best! However, on another site, I've heard you could beat it using Cait Sith's Slot Limit Break, that automatically kills him, but it says its a 1 in a million chance:notgood:. So its just best to take the patience and go for the best stuff. I also used the characters, Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. Cloud<well duh, ya always hafta use him>his Omnislash, Tifa, if you get Final Heaven and her Premium Heart, you get Yeah on every slot, does lotsa damage, and Barret, for his Catastrophe limit break, similar to Cloud's, but does alittle less each round of damage. Final Attack with Revive or Pheonix combination, you'll put up a decent fight! Also buy the Official Strategy guide, it's got the best info to get your Gold Chocobo! And that's that!;)

guys, I'm serious about the strategy I have above. It will work. I have done it like 10 to 20 times. Just follow that strategy. Give it a few tweaks if you want but it wont work with KOTR. Underwater materia is not needed in this battle, so give it a try. If you have problems with the strategy, just PM me.

i had beaten that stupid thing with cloud alone. ruby is way harder i say ^o)

i let my 2 team mates die.

i had 99 hero drinks. final attack with pheonix and mime.

all i did was mime omnislash and won :S simple as that.

note: cloud was on lvl 99 with all stats on 255.
