Ive done some thinking and it came to me that maybe we dont need a sequal but a prequal, wouldnt it be great, like we play the life as cloud or seppie before the events of ff7. We would learn so much more about the games history. Wouldnt it be great to put your self in the shoes of the great sepheroth, live as him through the great wars and become the greatest warrior known by man kind and then find out that your actually made by science (well sorta) as a killing machine for the millitary (sort again im not to sure) but think about it.

Thats some nice thoughts... Yeah playing as Sephiroth will be the greatest thing in FF. I would also like to see Cloud and the other crew at their younger age...

They should leave Final Fantasy VII alone.

I mean, anything they do now will only deteriorate the image that the original game held. True, it might be nice to see Sephiroth and Cloud in their younger days, but there's no real need to see where the story goes. (We know Sephiroth goes bad, we know Cloud doesn't die at Nibelheim, we know that certain key characters aren't gonna perish.) It takes away from the excitement and the enjoyment of the game.

That's only my opinion though.

Yeah... well.
Playing as Sephiroth. I've said the same about Magus from Chrono Trigger.
Certain characters may never be the main character of any sequel, prequel, whatever. Fascinating, mysterious characters lose all their appeal when you use them too much, espesially when you turn them into the main character. The player must not identify with them, there must remain a distance between them. Mistrust, maybe. Respect.

Really cool characters must not apear all the time, else their fascination wears off. Extreme example could probably be Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Used to be incredibly cool, but in the end he was... bleh. Normal. Emberassing even. That was sad; he used to be my favourite character but in the end I hated whenever he appeared on screen because every scene took away of his fascination. :(

it wouldnt ruin ff7 coz prequal happens b4 ff7 so it got betta in ff7 not worse...hope dat made sence

well... i dont think FFVII should be changed at all. i beat the game 2 years ago, sold it and bought it again.uhh.. was this a stupid choice?im in love with FFVII. i play it every day after school.i cant take my mind off it. hmm...........................................tidu s
