Right, this may have been already answered somewhere else in the forum, but im new here so hey, anyway.

Im playing ff7 (Again) and now I have finally figured out every aspect of the plot apart from one... Where did Jenova come from and what exactly is she?

That also brings up another point, in the game, Jenova (The true jenova) couldn't move so how could she be the person in the wheelchair in the Advent Children Trailer (Stated as a suggestion in one of the AC Threads)

(IF) it is jenova in the wheelchair you have to remember that jenova was stolen from midgar (the body) and sephy already had the head, both ended up north crater (or it could be debated every time you fight jenova in the game that sephy is throwing a piece of her at you, getting less and less complete each time)

SO, if it did end up in the lifestream then jenova if she/it survived the final battle somehow (i.e. even if jenova was broken down to the celular level it would still come back together in theory, jenova reunion)

who knows what crazy square is thinking, my bets are on sephy in the chair, short film so no time for a mad storyline IMO, just the obvious and self-explanatory.

Although that doesn't answer my original question, it gives me a good idea on AC, although my personal opinion is that the guy with short hair is sephiroth and the person in the wheelchair is in fact lucrecia (Sephiroth's Mother). This is because in FF7 she neva actually diea only vanishes, plus she (like sephiroth) has jenova cells inside her so therfore cannot die.

I think that lucrecia found sephiroths body in the lifestream and revived him, wanting revenge on cloud for attempting to kill her son. Although you see sephiroth explode at the end of the game, like jenova he could be healed back to his old self.

As for jenova being in the wheelchair, i dont think so, I agree with what you said about sephiroth throwing bits of her at you and reanimating them to fight, i personally dont think that the original Jenova could actually move or think let alone command a solder to kill cloud.

This is how i saw it,jenova caused the crater.which means she came from somewhere else....you can guess where but,i know it sounds far fetched,but someone give me a better explanation.thats why sephiroth choose the crater as a "nest".Hojo found jenova and proceeded to make a human/alien halfbreed,for a "super soilder".Also,dont pay attention to anyone who says its jenova in the wheelchair,its sephiroth,he didnt die.But dont expect him to actualy fight.It appears to me he is withered and frail and is letting "the unknown guy" fight for him.Why would he fight for him?possibly a clone.Also,that pic where it shows thw unknown guy and two others,i think they also could be sephiroth clones.hhhmmm..........................hope that answers the question..........see ya

Jenova "came from the sky" and fought the Ancients in some war...once they froze her in mako she unleashed a virus killing most of the Ancients...as for the North Crater,it was made when Meteor hit in the past...I know this because the Ancients made Holy in case it was used once more...I think she landed in the sea...notice under water there is a small crater ware Emerald Weapon "sleeps" or she may have landed in the area ware you first find Ultimate Weapon...one thing is for shure tho and that is that she did not make the North Crater but she was in fact an Alien invader trying to destroy the Ancients.

I would say so...she must have brought Meteor with her or something...I know of no one else, save man kind, who would use it...

the ancients could not have known of it...the temple IS Meteor so it was made after Jenova was frozen...I would say they put the hyrogliphics on it to warn off any wandering person seeking its power or just riches

Exactly!!Jenova crashed down inside meteor,the ancients found her.But this is what im trying to get across,the ancients died of "star scar syndrome"the same illness in ffac,which,i think sephiroth is dying from(in the wheelchair).

okay, this is my opinion of what I think happened...

Yes, I do believe that she came down in a meteor, some type of alien. And she did kill off most of the ancients... so not all of them were affected. And I believe that they used Holy to seal her....

Then after who knows how many millions of years or whatever, Prof. Gast did a study on the Ancients, finding that only 2 remained to that day, his wife and his daughter. And also of JENOVA, which when Hojo took over mistook her for an ancient, and that's why Sephiroth thought it was his mother. Hojo used Lucrecia's body to give rebirth to JENOVA. (Also note that Lucrecia in the cave told Vincent to put a stop to Sephiroth, and she disappeared, which is why I would believe that it is only her remaining spirit.)

And the reason Sephiroth summoned the Meteor was to open up another wound to the Planet to bring his mother back so that all the Planet's lifestream would come to one point to heal it's wound. But even if so, Holy caused all the lifestream to come to another point stopping Meteor before it hit.

The WEAPONs were created by the Planet to take care of the threat, but they were no longer needed since the Ancients took care of Jenova theirselves. And the crater where Ultimate Weapon appears was never there until after he appears, so as for that crater and the one under the ocean, I believe that those were caused by the WEAPONs themselves coming out of the Planet. The Meteor first struck in North Crater, which is where the Planet first tried to heal itself and Sephiroth was brought there through the Lifestream.

And as for JENOVA still being alive, I believe it 100% only because if one cell of her is still alive, she can still be reunited... and Cloud's still alive isn't he... and i do believe that she can move, but only if she was resurrected. So Jenova could of been brought back to life, but in the body of Lucrecia... and that's the only way I would understand it because it looks like Vincent is in the story line. And I remember that Square never put the ending with either Vincent or Yuffie because they were "alternate/hidden" characters. So it would make good sense why Vincent would be there if you ask me.

So no matter what anyone else says, I for one I do believe that JENOVA is in that wheelchair.

um...could someone explain to me what 'star scar syndrome' is? i've never heard that term before...

I've only heard them say that it's some type of disease in the movie that's dropping people left and right

I agree with your crater explenation but Jenova never was "reborn" she was just frozen...Sephiroth is NOT in the chair I know that 100%...because Sephiroth was dead sence Cloud killed him in the reactor...during the game he was nothing at all...his will power made it so he would not become part of the lifestream so he was free like that...he never once was their in flesh but he could project him self to make it look as if he were(thats why he can fly and go through floors and shit) his real body is incased in Mako in the North Crater...so it could not be him in the chair because he is not a phisical being...and he can not die again so it must be either what is left of his will power to make himself a phisical entity or it is Jenova...the virus is the same one Jenova used to kill most of the Ancients BUT sence some Ancients surrvived there IS a cure some ware...

man...after readin some of these im startin to remember more things....im gonna replay that game and pay very close attention to the storyline, last time i played that was a few years ago, so i didnt quite understand some of the thingsgoing on,lol

This is getting annoying.

1. Sephiroth must be a physical being since if his body is incased in mako at the northern limit (as it indeed is) he must have a physical body to be incased.

2. It clearly states in the game that every time you have come across Sephiroth it was actually his projection onto a clone, what make's you so sure he couldn't do the same for the final battle. Here is what can actually be stated factually about Sephiroth's grip on the mortal coil: nothing, nada, not the slightest sliver of actual truth.

By all means, have theorys, personally i like the idea of Lucretia coming back, but don't go around touting your theory as reality.

you fail to see my point...he was a physical being untill the time of his death...so its his body that is encased...though out the game he is nothing but an entity of spirit energy that wont join the Lifestream...your clone idea is true but the final battle was different...it was all illusions save for the Cloud-Sephiroth battle witch was inside Cloud's subconsious

yes, but if i remember right... sephiroth was not the one manipulating cloud, but jenova was manipulating the both of them...

you sure cuz i remember only cloud was being manipulated because he had her cells in him... jenova was the mastermind behind everything, even sephiroth was being manipulated... just dig deeper!

jenova was manipulating them all oh and the seph's in the game are clones the only TRUE TRUE sephiroth is the spirit cloud destroys at the end lost in the life stream, the one in the mako stream i think is seph but not the true seph just one jenovas made (i thought the big crater was the junon cannon shot they fired earlier in the game.....i mean they missed didnt they it must have landed somewhere and its a pretty big gun....) jenova must have come with the original meteor not sure the ancients and the star scar disease i remember something about they gave there lives for the planet (i.e just didnt farm or cut down forest or take anything from the planet so it could heal and just died or hardship coz the others who left had it easy) and about jenova in the wheelcahir isnt she some big ass massive thing with tentacles?! even when your in the shinra building look at the chamber shes in its massive! can anyone remember something about jenova mutating the ancients?? ( i swear i remember something about that.......)

indeed...it was the virus that killed them...now the cannon was used to break the magic force field around the North Crater...

yes, but that was after you've already visited the crater, for the reunion... i remember decending deep down into the crater, some kind of wind storm you had to run by, and then the injury from the previous meteor.... and at it's center is Sephiroth frozen in Mako...

maybe it was all in cloud's head. he could have gotten high on all the mako :-\

It was sephiroth that stole jenova from the shinra building...right before/after he killed the president. they really needed and fmv of him kililng the president (off topic, but imagination friendly)
