yea i heard that too, i heard it was coming out along with advent children and u could buy it all in one pack but i really doubt that, but i dont know, they could be. i wouldnt know cause i havent found too much out abotu advent children yet

As far as I know, the idea of Final Fantasy VII being remade is untrue.

They have said officialy,FFAC might lead onto future productions in game form,you never know,if they can do a sequel of the worst ff(ffx)why not do a remake of the best(ff7)

I agree fully...FFX wasnt all bad it just had a sucky main character

But it was lame,even the characters seemed lifeless.But anyway,for me all signs point to yes for a ff7 remake,or more possibly a sequel......

I think the game's better off left where it is. It's been too long between FF7 and now for the new audience to get into the storyline. Even re-making the game will make it lose some of its magic. The game was a landmark in its day. It was, and still is, a classic, no matter if it gets re-reviewed or marked down or whatever, it's the game that finally hooked me into the RPG genre after Shining Force 2's initial cast.

Sure, there will always be people saying "what if" this and "what if" that and god knows what else, but at the time, almost everyone loved it. Let's leave it as is, and enjoy Advent Children when it comes out.

Good point,very good point.But anyway,"if" they do make a sequel they better put there best into.if ffx is there best,i will be bored of ff pretty quick

I've been aware of the rumours of FFVII as a remake on the ps2. There has been no word yet though.

The same with FFVII-2. I've heard that it might be made and be the launch game for the Sony psp when it comes out. I would rather that FFVII-2 come out on the ps2.

I heard things about remaking FF7 too but I dont think it's true, well for what I thought was that people didn't know much about FF7 AC and thought it was a remaking of the game...

Anyway I don't want to make comments about whether they should remake it or not because you'd never know how will it affect the market and the players untill it comes out. Like for FFX-2 I was really looking forward before playing it but now I just dislike it. And there were people didn't want it at first but then so into it.

You see, it's just something that you cannot predicate.

By the way if they are really going to make FF7-2 then I think it will be the end of FF series... Square is going backwards because they know that there's nothing new to keep FF games going on, that will be so sad:(

Yeah i totally agree.

I love final fantasy 7 to me its the best game ever no other game will come close to final fantasy 7, but i think making a sequal is not the correct way. They should leave the honour that ff7 has, who knows making a sequal could destroy its reputation.

Also try to immagine where to continue from, by the end of the game Cloud and the rest of your party are at maximum levels and skill.

Anyway advent children is looking good as it is who needs a sequal hopefully ac will cover all the parts that we have questioned.

what they should do is leave FF7 ware it is but make a game about when/how Jenova landed and that war...it would clear many doubts and would leave FF7 alone all together because there is no ware to pick up after AC im guessing

no, I've actually read on a site long ago that Square (before the merge) was actually gonna remake FF titles 7-9 for the PS2, just improving the quality of the graphics and nothing more. They cancelled their plans and decided to focus on future titles...

I believe that this was before X-2 came out. I read it on RPGFan.com a long time ago. Even though I wouldn't mind playing those games again with a fully rendered quality, I'd rather see Squenix remake FF titles 1-6 in the same 3D world as 7-12... but all of you know that that will never happen either.

If they remade ff5 as 3D that would rock the jazz ass.:D

id rather them remake ff7, ff8, and ff9 because ive never played ff5 or any of the old ones other than final fantasy mystic quest for super nintendo. that game ruled! they should remake that :D
