hope anyone can help me with my game here. ok, the problem is I've did everything written in the 100% completion game FAQs but in the end, I've only gotten 99% even after completing the game.
I think the only thing I did not do is to defeat the Experiment at a level lower than 5 before defeating it at its highest level... ...does that affect the percentage as well?

I didn't do that either and only got 99% as well. I think that might be what my problem was.

If you didn't get it, don't sweat it. The programmers never really intended for anyone to try to slave over getting 100% in one try. Instead, just start another New Game Plus. Check out some things, maybe try out some things you missed before or choose some different options to gain new stuff. Then, in Chapter 2, when you have to choose to give the sphere to someone, choose to give it to the group that you didn't give it to before. This will get you the remaining % you need. Then, just make sure to complete all of the other requirements for a "Good Ending" (which I posted in another thread) and when you get to the end, you should be able to view the perfect ending.

Also make sure you EXAMINE Yuna in the moogle suit in Dock 2 at the beginning of the game (she will heal you)... I kept skipping that and and just going to the next dock, then wondering 'what the hell' when I only got 99% myself... And yes you do need to examine her in order to get 100%...

Just thought I'd post that to help anyone as clueless as I am...

Hey, AdemA, just curious: what happens when you do the Luca mission in Chapter 1 and you haven't examined her. When you do, Yuna says in her narration, "Rikku sure was having fun" and you see a flashback as Rikku heals with Yuna. So what happens in the flashback if you don't do that?

I don't recall having Rikku talk to Yuna in her Moogle outfit in that flashback. And I've seen it twice! (the game froze on me when I was fighting a monster).

Currently, I have 85%, and I only Bevelle (Via Infinito), Djose (Machina isn't Lv.5 yet), and Bikinal (haven't beat Anyra yet) as hotpots left. Plus I missed a few unncessary points in the game like talking to that moogle. That's why I gave up on 100% on my first try.

yuna doesn't heal rikku in that flashback if you didn't check up on her in the first mission.

i don't remember, but i think it does matter. cuz there is a little sidequest if you defeat it under level 5. and then you have to fight it again at level 5.

So then what happens? Does Yuna just sort of sit there crouching in the moogle suit until she realizes that everyone has already gone by?

she still sees them and i think she says the same thing. the same thing being "rikku sure was having fun" or something like that.

she watches them run by. then she sees logos and sneaks.. i think this part is al the same.. although i played the first mission without knowing about the moogle.. and i'm still on my first game..

See, the first time I played, I didn't know about the moogle, but not only that, I skipped the mission in Luca.

i think checking up on the mog/yuna gives u % tho.

note what i said later on in that post.. if you don't talk to yuna, then she watches them run by but still says 'rikku sure was having fun'

You know you all are wrong for If you've chosen the Youth League, you'll be able to get 100% in your first game. However, if you've chosen New Yevon, you'll get a maximum of 99% at the end.

One problem could be about Gippal's Sphere. Did you obtain it by accusing Rin at the Mi'ihen Mystery event? If you didn't get it, then you can't get 100%, just 99.8%. BTW, getting this sphere prevents you from obtaining an Episode Complete in the Mi'ihen Highroad and you won't be able to get Mascot on your first playthrough.

BTW, all this info. I got through reading. I'm having a problem with this though...

To clarify: in order to get 100% in one game, you actually should not get Gippal's Sphere. You need Rikku as the culprit in the mystery if you want 100% in one game. Getting Rin as the culprit will keep you from the percentage, as well as from getting an Episode Complete for the Mi'ihen Highroad.

to get 100%, you must do the fighting with 5/5/5 esperiment, it takes 60 x digging for me:(.
