Which one did you like better? FFVII on the Pc or FFVII on the PSOne? For years I liked the PSOne version alot, until this past month I just got the Pc version from Ebay and I love it, I mean it's just somthing different for me to expirience, and I also got the Pc version because it is burnable and I can have atleast a copy of FFVII that will work like 15 years from now or longer lol. Consoles don't last forever o.o
The PC version, for me, was harder. I don't know how, maybe that's just me inexperienced with PC games, but it was harder. I liked the PSX version much much better because console games are always better to play, quicker to load and more fun.

Most of the time, the console of origin is the better version. Some huge exceptions include Final Fantasy XI and Grand Theft Auto. Personally, I agree that the PSX is better... Computers were not meant for Console RPGs.

GTA? I liked the PS2 version better...the controls were more intuitive.
But as for FF7... i'll have to stick with the PlayStation version, for nostalgia's sake. You can tell the PC version is just a port...it doesn't feel like a PC game. I used to be a PC gamer, but ever since getting my PSX, I never turned back.

PC version. I played it first and not only that, but the dialogue is improved on the PC version. Well, for the most part. They censor some stuff of Cid's that got through on the PS version, but other than that, I like it better..

Yeah, that's a good one. Another thing kind of along the same lines is easy access to savefiles. Not only can you save a whole bunch more very easily (theoretically unlimited, actually, if you move them to another folder) but you can also post or download them online.

Actually, if you had a PS2 controller and a PSX to PC connector, it beats the PS2 version by a LONG shot. :D
But thats going off topic. :(
I think the PC version uses Midi... midi generally sucks with the soundfonts included. :(

PSX: Better Music, AND Better graphics... The PC version's graphics were choppy/edgy and they used MIDI files for music instead of actual WAV files for the sound... Less editting ('^#&#' instead of 'shit' and the like) then the PC version...
PC: They actually have MOUTHS!!!! And they fixed several typos like Barret's Angermax (Ungarmax was a typo)... And Vincent's Chaos occasionally said 'Stan Slam' but was fixed in the PC version to ALWAYS say 'Satan Slam'. Not to mention that the PC version was so easy and fun (and also free) to hack at, on the PSX you need a GS...
Anyway... PSX is my final answer, it was just smoother and easier to play...

I've never gotten this complaint. Yes, it does use midi, but I never noticed that much different between the music. In fact, in a couple of cases, I liked the PC version music better. Exception being "One Winged Angel." On the Playstation version, you actually get to hear the Latin chanting, but it's not on the PC version.

Midi uses your computers musical sounds... Thus sometimes you don't get sound unti lyou install a midi player... and different midi players sound better, so the midi actually sounds totally different depending on the software you have installed.... I thought it was horrible no matter what, I lmuch prefered the WAV... And not having vocals in One Winged Angel was just plain annoying...
