Let's see. The biggest thing of all would involve Aeris. I have read some of the entire FF7 story and learned that Aeris was supposed to revive.

Another thing. I wish that fat guy palmer would have been chopped to bits by the tiny bronco. That would be hillarious.

On topic...I wish you could make the Highwind crash into cities, it like, puts a shield on, and rams into that very tempting tall Gold Saucer structure. That would be the best.

If anything, I would have added more side quests that had NOTHING to do with the story, I wouldn't change the story in any way whatsoever, everything that happened happened for a good reason, and changing anything would only ruin the game...

I wanted to see Yuffie and Vincent in the ending. Okay... wait, I wanted to see Yuffie. Not so much Vincent.

Auron died, but he is a party member...I do not see why she can't be back as a ghost for a while because of the great need. It could even add some complexity if they need her alive to summon the holy (although it says she needed to die to summon it...)(

I would've loved to see better characterization on Tifa's part. I find it somewhat contradictory, and when there is, it feels either disliking or shallow. (She can break stuff with her fists but always needs attention and help.)

In gameplay, would've love to seen the enemies, spells for each element (where is water1, water2, and water3?) and secret/more limit breaks along with more sidequests, and such.

Well, the different FF's are all entiely different, so I don't see how FFX applies to FF7, unless you believe that bogus theory about Shinra of FFX-2 launching himself into space and populating the world of FF7, which has no actual backing and contradicts with the story and plot of FF7 even...

Anyway, Just becuase someone is physically strong, doesn't make them mentally strong as well, so I disagree with Tifa being contradictory of her own character at times...

Square Enix did start recreation of Final Fantasy 7-2, way different from FF7 Advent Children.

This one is the exact same game, but with the entire story told. I think it was gonna be four disks long. Whoever has read the entire FF7 story should know what goes on in this game.

I'm not gonna tell much, but what you'd see would be much better than the first.

Unfortunately, the game developement was Suspended Indefinetly due to the massive craze for a sequel to FFX.

i would have liked to SPOILER revive you-know-who END and play with Zack. side quests are the best. they should have had even more of those that werent story related, like AdemA said.

Why would anyone want to edit their spoilers? I'm not getting that. I mean, obviously, if you're heading into a thread that's titled "Things you wish Did happen if FF7" (should be "in FF7," but ah well) then it's only reasonable to expect spoilers. Just the title of the thread itself implies that.

I remember back in the day a Playstation magazine in the UK first uncovered rumours about Final Fantasy VIII. "The first ever FF to break tradition and be a direct sequel," They said. "Sephiroth may be dead, but the Jenova cells live on as new organisms and the party have to battle them," They said. And of course, we all know what happened after that, don't we?

I did write a brief storyline to end FF7 with multiple endings, which included resurrecting Aeris with the White Materia, and then having a final confrontation of Super Dooper Sephiroth Vs Cloud and Aeris in a party in a battle with Meteor still in the skies. But I think I lost it... Shame, really.

I read an article from a magazine AdemA. It said all this.

Anyways I think I read that article as well Bahamut. It was talking about Aeris and cloud in a final battle against Safer Sephiroth, or the original, I'm not quite sure still. I think some of the story said that the white Materia not only revived Aeris, but destroyed Sephiroth and vanquished Meteor by itself. It also destroyed the black Materia too I believe.

They don't, it just shows that because someone is dead does not mean they can't be a party members, that was all that was for.

The two are not one in the same, you state this correctly. However, the idea is of characterization can often be along these lines. For example, Ernest Hemingway will often give names like "Robert" something very masculine to a character who is masculine in turn. It is simply just a method of characterization. However, while these correlate, they are not always the same. You are given Tifa for instance, physically strong, one might believe she is emotionally strong as well, as many characters often are. However, she does not fit a GENERAL (not always true) pattern of characterization.

Simply put, she is given traits that one might think for a second imiply one thing, only to find that something else happens. In a sense, she is given "contradictory" properties to show a character physically strong, but emotinally weak.

Just wanted to clear that up.

Firstly, you can't really ask for more of Zack in the game cus he's dead as you find out if you return to the shinra mansion in nibelheim in disk 3. If you're talking about flashbacks, everytime Cloud talks about his past, he's talking about Zack's past not his own so you do get a lot of Zack's story anyway.

The only thing I could ask for would be more villages so it seemed more like a planet (this would be good in all FF games but I guess they can't make too many cus of time restraints etc), and to be able to talk with seph before you fight him at the end and find out some more stuff that comes direct from the real sephiroths mouth.

zack being dead duznt matter. you could have played zack's past. its not like that wouldnt have been possible. you are a moogle for a little while in the game too if u decide to play that arcade. would it not have been neat to further play in the past with zack like you did cloud

If Aeris was revived... It would totally ruin the game for me. It's different for X and Auron, Sent, Unsent, and what not, there's a REASON. But Aeris "lol i died but that doesn't count so I'm bak w00t w00t11". It's just incredibly stupid. It would reduce the whole thing to a stupid farce, for me. -_-; Whoever decided to keep Aeris DEAD was at least thinking straight, because her being revived would just make the whole story TOTALLY AND UTTERLY POINTLESS. It wouldn't be a gritty, enjoyable story set in a fantasy world, it would be a fucking FAIRY STORY. For kids. And I would not like that.

I can see why'd you think that, and most probably it would, it would have to been done with such precision, with the attention to the emotional vulernability, the pain, and the complication of fantasy and epic....

I will grant you, 9 out of 10 scenarios they would fail. But that 1 scenario could be phenomenal...

mebbe they can haf aeris return as a goddess or sth...mebbe even appear as a summon in a battle!
