Michael Stearns ~ Chronos (film version)

This is the PCM stream from the US DVD. It differs from the official soundtrack releases in that it has clearer sound, a more prominent beam, some tiny additional musical elements or sound effects and some shorter segments. Like the CD version it is encoded in a stereo-compatible multi-channel matrix signal.

Also have a listen at Michael Stearns' great compilation CD "Sacred Site" which features three completely different Chronos tracks.

tracklist

01 8:06 Corridors of Time
02 8:17 Essence and the Ancients
03 7:46 Angels, Bells and Pastorale
04 3:39 Escalator
05 4:44 Voices
06 2:59 Portraits
07 4:57 The Ride (Finale)
08 2:07 Closing Credits

Thank you!!!! I luv Michael Stearns' scores, specially Spirits of the Voyage and Baraka, and I second the recommendation of the Scred Site compilation ;)

Yes it is possible to get this in mp3 format please.

Just download the 209 MB of lossless compressed music and run it through a MP3 converter with the quality settings of your choice! YES, it's as simple as that!

You might want to consider to resample it to 44100 Hz for compatibility reasons before or during conversion.

Links received, thanks sinus :-D

Haven't seen the film, but if it's anything like Baraka and Samsara then count me in! ;)

It's the same sort of film, but Baraka cannot be touched. ;)

No one mentions Planetary Unfolding? It's Stearns's Opus Magnum, absolute must-listen for anyone interested in 80s ambient/space music.

I only know who Michael Stearns is because of Titanic. The brief piece playing while Rose is lying on the floating door before she realizes Jack is dead.
