what actually happens if on the final battle you don't use Omnislash, and let Sephiroth attack u. i never actually did it and now ive sold my playstation & ffVII copy (mistake!)

It happens automatically. It's in the game, you can't lose o_O ^^
and if you do, you're probaly the worst player ever.

He'll hit you for about 8,000pts of damage.

You can't not use it. Well, it seemed to do it automatically to me, I mean, Sephiroth never attacked first.

Just don't push "confirm...."

Just use defend/guard or don't do anything at all. Spehiroth will hot you for 7000~8000 damage and you will always counterattack.

Believe me I've tried, just curious to find out if you could lose and see a different ending FMV where Sephiroth fullfills his plans.

incase anyone was wondering what ever happened to cloud after the game ended, if you pick up a copy of kingdom hearts and play trhu it and beat it, you'll see how the story continues on
and how ___SPOLIER____ his love for Aries drives him into the after realms and all over hell and heaven looking for her. man, i love squaresoft :D

No. This is just an alternative storyline involving the same characters. It has nothing to do with FF7...it's another universe.

Yeah. The counter-attack is a lame way to end it though. Its like *slash* *dead*.

For me (who never strives to get 100% everything in any RPG) I had never seen Omnislash, so this part was quite interesting to me. Though my friend, who got Omnislash, was like "oooh man, its soooooo good *drool drool drool*". I couldn't see the fascination myself.

Omnislash hits fifteen times. I have tried letting Sephiroth hit first, it doesn't matter, Cloud will counterattack and even if you're completely sucky, you'll still win. The coolest thing about this version of Omnislash is the zoom-in effects and stuff. It's not the same effects as the normal Omnislash. Oh, and I don't remember Sephiroth's attack hitting for that much damage either. That must be with like no defense.

Sephiroths sword is sooo cool. THE MASAMUNE. I love swords!!

if you take all materials of cloud he would not counter and sephy would just kill you, and gameover.............

Cloud doesn't have ANY materia, its an in built part of the game so that if you have got to that point in the game (defeating the other sephiroth's) then you can't lose

i dont understand.. i mean it should be really obvious but is it that sephiroth hits you for 8000 pts of dmg no matter what?

i can remember that without my masterd hp plus materia (i love gameshark) my cloud had about 6200 hp. does that mean if i didnt defend and just sat there then hed do 8000 pts of dmg and id go down and get gameover?

or would i just counterattack anyway.

You can't die. It dosen't matter what you do, if you let Sephiroth attack, Cloud automatically counters with Omnislash and it's over.

I don't *what* version you're playing. As far as I know, he cannot die in that very last battle, no matter what. PC/Playstation, it doesn't matter.

maybe its my imagination then, by the way have you all watched FF:AC trailer?? do you know what Cloud is saying in japanese?

It's impossible to lose that fight, I tried to once. Beat the game without getting cloud omnislash, he had no materia equiped, the worst armor in the game and he still just counterattacked and that was the end of sephiroth.

I don't know if it necessarily does 8,000. I seem to remember it doing 5,000ish the time I let it hit me. But that's irrelevant, Cloud definitely won't die, and will counterattack with Omnislash.

FF7 has been out a long time, believe me, if it was possible, we would know about it by now.

It's totally impossible to lose the final match. Sephiroth has only 1 hitpoint. Even if you poke him with the lousiest weapon in the game he would still die!

can't u pple see tt it's just a FMV in "actual battle" version....just a chance for us to see Omnislash, in case u dun haf it....

one thing if you let sephiroth attack you cloud does counterattack but not with omnislash, it's just a normal counterattack, the only way you can do omnislash in that last battle is by selecting it, also there is no way you can die in that battle, this is bacause sephiroth levels up as you do and will never be able to do enough damage to kill you, like was said it's just an fmv in a battle style.

You cant die. the only difference its the way you kill Sephiroth.

maybe but then again i could be wrong, it's been a while since i saw the end aswell, good thing i havre a save right before JENOVA synthesis. so i can easily check again.:D
