Final Fantasy Shrine Media Downloads
Hosting certain files on our website tends to drain our bandwidth quite fast. In fact, hosting these files does this so fast and so often that we just can't offer you what we'd like to, but we do have a bit of a solution: FFShrine offers many large media files via IRC, including tons of official soundtracks, Final Fantasy TV commercials, Final Fantasy trailers, rare music, entire MIDI collections, and art books.
Information For Downloaders:
DO NOT COME INTO THE CHAT ASKING FOR HELP DOWNLOADING. You won't get an answer; all the information you need is here, we're not going to repeat it for you. Read everything on this page, if you're still confused, find more information from Google.
First, you'll need to get into our chat. We have a basic IRC tutorial here. For those of you already familiar with IRC, connect to irc.xelium.net and join #ffshrine. All of our fserves are silent with !list. After your mIRC is correctly configured to accept both DCC sends and DCC chats type !list in the channel. You'll see a list of triggers, paste a trigger into the channel and you'll access that particular fserv.
You should know a few basic commands for using fserves:

Stands for "change directory." Should be used in conjunction with a directory name: "cd FOLDER" will change the current directory to "folder." |

Goes one directory back. |
| dir |
Outputs a list of files and folders in a directory. |
| get |
Gets a file: "get song.mp3" would request song.mp3. |
| help |
Outputs a list of commands the fserve supports. Some commands may change from fserve to fserve, however, the above commands should remain more or less consistent. |

Information For Servers:
If you need a serving script, we suggest SysReset. If you're having trouble setting things up, you can find a tutorial here. You're free to use any client to serve, however, we do require that all fserves be silent with !list.
All regular servers will receive an auto-voice. If you haven't been added yet, make sure your nick is registered and then message one of the ops. Also: any users that serve regularly will receive access to a dump FTP with all of FFShrine's official soundtrack rips on a high speed connection. You will not receive access to the dump immediately; it's only for those that serve often. |
